The sushi is very good, bit the place always strikes me as dirty - it makes me want to do takeout. Staff are a mixed blend of very helpful and teeth pulling to get service. For such a small place it should not take a lot to keep it clean and orderly, but that is not the case here. However, if you can overlook these faults, the food and fish are excellent.
Just wow, some of the best sushi in Orange County! We start with cucumber salad which was fresh, crunchy, and just the right amount of pickling. And the rolls we ordered were so good, super fresh and well prepared.

I got the Choose Any 3 combo for dinner. The soup was less flavorful than other sushi spots i frequent and the ginger salad dressing was fine. I liked the shrimp tempura roll a lot, but the spicy tuna roll was not the greatest. It WAS spicy, so props to them for that; I just didn't enjoy the overall flavor. The gyoza was good. Overall, the whole meal felt pretty lackluster and did not leave me wanting to try here again. I placed a delivery order through Doordash, so I cannot comment on the service other than, it arrived quickly and was what I ordered.
I will NEVER spend another penny at this place. Literally the WORST customer service ever. I ordered for delivery and 40% (5 of 12 dishes) of my order was not delivered. I called the delivery driver and he went back to this place and called me from there. I explained the problem and what was not included with the delivery. I even offered to come pick up the missing items myself (as I did not want the driver to waste his time). I spoke with the person who I was told was the “boss” … he told me to call the delivery service and that it was not their problem. I asked him if he wanted to either make this right or lose a customer for good … he actually TOLD ME that he would rather lose a customer than make it right. What a joke! I recommend that you go to Sushi Town (less than 2 miles away) instead. (Please look at my other reviews on Google … almost all of them are positive … I’m usually not a “negative post guy.”)
10/10 definitely recommend and will be back!! Everything was delicious! We got cucumber salad, yellowtail kama, Obama care roll (new fave!!), and crispy rice tuna. Did not disappoint!! Can't wait to come back. All the staff were very nice and quick to help us!
Shunka was closed so we saw this place across the street with a4.8 rating and figured it would be a good second option. The staff is over the top amazing and really helpful. I'd give them half or even a whole star for the service.Unfortunately the sushi was not great. The rolls were okay but the rice was a little undercooked and the fish seemed to be fresh but over refrigerated. The sashimi was cut very thick, maybe a half inch thick. Although we appreciated the quantity, I couldn't bite through the tuna, even with two hands holding the other end. Since the fish quality is medium, for the same quantity I'd suggest cutting them a quarter inch thick and giving double. Due to the staff I'll be back, plus I always give every restaurant a second chance since everyone has an off night.PS The quantity of takeout orders was absolutely astounding there must have been someone arriving for pickup every 5 mins minimum. I'm unsure if that's because Shunka was closed and they were dealing with the additional clients, or if this is standard. Either way it seemed the amount of takeout may have affected the quality of the dine in food.
The food is SO good! Nice staff and cool interior; overall a great place. I’ll definitely be dining here again and again!
The service and seating options are great; location is nice too with clean restrooms. Servers are very helpful and attentive which is a huge plus! However, the appetizers tasted better than the sushi itself. I felt like the quality of the fish was not good; the tuna wasn’t fresh and the texture was off putting. The sushi rice was too loose and made eating it more difficult. The pricing seemed decent for the area and their lunch sets seem like a good deal, but I can’t say I highly recommend it. Their non-fish items were much tastier.
