Our favorite place to ride bikes and get a sweet treat. S'mores was by far the best s'mores ice cream I've ever had. We also loved the carnival butter popcorn flavor, though I can't remember its actual name. Look for that one if you go! I'm sure it was a limited time offering though because it was so tasty. We love Stella Jean's!
They have a variety of vegan flavors and they let you sample two ! I just stuck with their forever flavors -- mango sticky rice and strawberry oat crumble. Both were solid flavors and the texture was very thick. It's expensive though so it's definitely a treat to have on occasions.
Truly excellent ice cream. No toppings needed, each bite packs a punch of flavor. Best to get individual scoops, as they can be overpowering.
When I walked in with a friend I read a flyer that said this place is a top ten ice cream parlor across the US, and believe me the ice cream did not disappoint.I tried the Ube with toffee swirl and the banana flavors and it is definitely a top ten worthy spot!Go get some today! Your taste buds and your soul will thank you.
Where can anyone get mango sticky rice flavor vegan gluten free ice cream that is pretty delicious? Only here. The restroom is amazingly clean, too.
Love all the flavors and they have vegan options if you're looking for them.
I was told this ice cream was the absolute best, so I bought a pint. I took it home and dished it up, very eager to enjoy it.Well the sizzle was the best part of it. Some of the ice cream tasted alright, but the rest of it tasted like it had ice in it.The ice cream was either old, melted partially and refrozen, or a bad batch. For what I paid, it should have been perfect. I would have been better off and happier if I would have bought some Thrifty Ice Cream. This was my first and last trip here I'm sorry to say.I didn't bother to return it because it's a good distance away and I don't get to Costa Mesa very often.
My family and I went here on a whim while on vacation and it was amazing! I like that their flavors are unique and make me choose something other than the “usual”. I had the Mango and the Ube and it was a perfect balance! Even the waffle cones were extra delicious! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun, local place! They also had vegan and gluten free options for anyone with restrictions!
Best ice cream I have had, vegan or not. It is decadent, creamy, and very flavorful. I will say it has a coconut after taste, but it really complimented the flavor. Highly recommend.
Last week I was out in Newport and randomly searched up an ice cream shop with *non-dairy* optionS. Plural lol. I’ve made the mistake of pulling up to a yogurt/ice cream shop that has only ONE option and the flavor is either boring or not appealing. However, Stella Jean’s had exactly 4 options that were both vegan and gluten free which caters exactly to my diet. They had even more flavors that were vegan as well. Of the 4 though, I tried two. The Strawberry Oat Crumble and Banana Coffee Cake. They were sooo DELICIOUS! I’m not a big fan of banana flavoring but with the coffee cake chunks, the nuts, and the cinnamon it was BOMB. I love most things strawberry, so it wasn’t a shock I enjoyed that one as well. The texture was amazing! My sister was with me and she actually went back the same week just to buy us the pints lol. They have a cup and waffle cone option which is gluten free! I was hesitant to try the cone but I’m glad I did. Plus it made for a cute pic lol. Definitely recommend if you’re in Newport Beach and are vegan/dairy-free or just want something sweet!
