Having lived in Chicago for many years and having enjoyed many versions of stuffed pizzas, we were amazed to discover that Rance's Chicago pizza was actually better! The reason is probably because they use fresh stewed tomatoes on top instead of a regular sauce. The pizza actually tasted fresher and tastier. Also, the crust was flakey with a hint of butter, not greasy. In addition, family members thoroughly enjoyed the side of Ranch Dressing, also fresh and flavorful. The place is very informal, unlike the sit down pizza restaurants in Chicago.
Best deep dish pizza, I've ever tried! It takes about 40 minutes for them to bring your pizza out, but definitely worth the wait... There's 3 different sizes to choose from, but a medium will suffice for two people. The deep dish has so much cheese and tomato sauce, that it will fill you up! And the tomato sauce, had very good mix of flavors. The crust is nicely toasted and it's not overwhelming thick. It isn't a pretty big place, so it gets crowded fast. They also have these Thai peanut sauce chicken wings, that are amazingly flavorful ? All in all, my boyfriend and I, ended up getting the six piece Thai sauce wings, and then got the bigger pizza, for around $50. Definitely recommend this place.
First off the staff was super friendly and helpful but when I got home and $110 later for 2 pizzas and cheese bread I would think this would taste a lot better. The top of the pizza was soup and watery. The second you lift a piece up it all falls apart. Plus the pizzas were not sliced. All the other reviews sound amazing but that was not the case for us sadly.
I live about 3.5hrs north of this place and I have tried many pizza places in SoCal but this is definitely one of my favorites. Every time I find myself in the area, I always make it one of my stops. The deep dish pizza is delicious! Pair it with the amazing bourbon bacon wings and WOW! Must try these for sure. Staff has always been helpful and friendly.
It’s pretty good pizza. I got the thin crust one cause I wanted less cheese. Overall tasty. Wasn’t expecting it to be cut in squares but it makes sense. Would go again
One of the top pizza restaurants around! The spicy Thai wings are so damn delicious...just the right amount of kick. And the pizza...forget about it!
amazing service from Derek! awesome experience from start to finish and we came at 7:30 so we stayed a bit after closing but everyone was so nice about it. Pizza was amazing and the breadsticks were also chefs kiss! It’s very clean and the pizza is about a 30 minute wait but sooo worth it. Thanks for the service and great food!
Excellent spot for authentic Chicago style pizza. I love how they have an option to customize the pan pizzas, which is what we did. But the Peanut Butter Milk Stout I had….OH MY GOSH, it’s freaking amazing!!! It tasted like a peanut butter milkshake ?. Our little ones had the cheese thin crust which they obliterated. Our waitress was super and constantly checked on us. Highly recommend this amazing place!
Overall it was a good experience. The pizza was delicious. The crust was a flaky, flavorful, almost croissant like and unlike anything that's available in Orange County. It's a true pan style pizza with cheese all the way to the edge. We ordered artichoke hearts and bacon as our toppings and requested that they didn't add the additional marinara sauce to the top of the pizza. They charge $1 per side of ranch but it's absolutely worth it. Thick, flavorful and intentional. The way ranch should be. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars rather than 5 is because when you take the pizza to go, they don't cut it for you. Other than that, it was a great experience.
My first time ever trying this Deep Dish I had heard so much about. It was a month ago but I’ll say I was shocked by how much tomato soup there would be! (didn’t do my research on this one)Probably my least favorite style pizza so far.But their pizza making skills are amazing. The crust, the cheese, their ingredients are the best and no one comes close to this place.No dollar slices I believe, but this stuff is worth it’s weight in gold!
