Staffs always been real friendly but the food has taken a turn unfortunately. Got sick off the meatballs & fettuccine, meatballs also were over cooked & tough. Pizza was flavorless, sauce tasted metallic and the cheese was chewy. A few years ago it was the opposite, delicious food but this past year not so much

I honestly can't say it was good. I tried it because of the daily specials but, not really worth it unless you really eat a lot. The flavor of the food was average as well as the quality. In terms of price/value, the portion sizes are above average; however, in my opinion, I don't think it's worth it because I would rather have better tasting food over the quantity.

Monday is lasagna night, which has always been great, but this time seemed as if it was either undercooked or prepared way far in advance.Half baked is great for cookie dough, but not for lasagna.Pizza D'Oro is family owned but didn't notice anyone familiar. We would love to upgrade this review because they typically perform far above and beyond this most recent visit.Still believe they're worth a try for anyone local or just passing through Costa Mesa.

This place is the true definition of a hidden gem. I’m originally from NY and this place reminds me of a classic neighborhood family owned italian joint. The pizza, chicken parm, and meatballs all some of the best (if not the best) I’ve had since I moved out to CA years ago. Portions are big, prices are low. Great places like this are hard to come by.

A favorite spot for Italian food. Mondays is all you can eat Lasagna, their portion is so big it's tough to even finish it. Their prices are great.

Amazing pizza and the coldest Coors Light in the world ?

Such a great experience the food is made fresh. The place was clean. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. Definitely recommending this place to everyoneOur server was helpful and quick.

I ordered something quick and easy for my lunch break, ordered the meatball sub…. It was seriously the worst meatball sub, I’ve ever had. Took only a few bites and threw it away. The meatballs were burnt and they cut them into slices. It was very dry with no sausage and no flavor what so ever. It so was bad! Guess this place is only good for pizza and spaghetti

Love this place. Great food, great service, great prices. I had the chicken parmesan sandwich, my friend had the large slice. The slice was bigger than the plate. The sandwich was as big around as my forearm, and 12" long. The food was fabulous: had the lunch special comes with salad and a drink. We also purchased a spaghetti plate with meat sauce, and an eggplant parmesan. The garlic bread is to die for. The four plates with an almost $10 tip came to $50 everyone had leftovers.

Sunday afternoon, Service was good, Friendly staff, the ambiance is nice for what it is and pretty comfortable. But the food was not what I was expecting.. the Chicken and sauce did not taste fresh, everything is drenched in the watered down dull sauce. The pizza was decent, bread is good, cheese is fine but the Sauce and pepperoni was for lack of a better word.. just poor quality.I was going to rate 2 stars but I give them 3 because service was good.
