I haven’t had coffee this good in a long time. This coffee shop is a must try. Chocolate croissant was delicious. I’m definitely coming back to this place!
Coffee was great! Some of (if not the very best) coffee I have ever gotten. I got the mocha tesora. Long story short: I got my coffee and a breakfast burrito to go with it, I sat outside and I managed to tip my coffee over!! I rushed inside and grabbed napkins to clean it up, afterwards went to the counter and explained what happend, they free of charge made a fresh new cup for me!! EXCELLENT customer service! Thanks so much! Definitely recommend this place!
Good selection of pastries and various coffee choices. Philz coffee serves Pour Over coffee and the taste of pour over coffee plus milk just wasn’t what I am used to. Also if you order butter croissant , and want butter to go with it, they don’t offer butter.
The coffee is so good here and the workers are really nice. Idk if he’ll read this but there was a nice guy that took my order yesterday and I went again today and when he asked if I was there yesterday I said no… I’m sorry nice coffee guy I’m scared of the most bare bones confrontation i don’t know why I did that…Anyway can’t recommend the rose coffee enough. My family is Arab and we go crazy with rose water so it was a godsend lol… peace
To preface, for $5+ for a cup of coffee i expect a good experience. In general, that’s not what I experienced at Philz.First they ran out of the plant based sandwich a few times, which is their only vegan option. I overlooked this considering the times the world is going through, but it’s still frustrating.Then came the comments about the dog. I thought they were dog friendly since they have a wall of ‘Philz friends’, but that is not the case. One particular employee mentions every time that the dog cannot be inside, even though she is being carried. Also frustrating, so we tried to order online.Then, ordering online, it’s very hit or miss on how long it will take and if your order will be ready. You have 30 seconds to cancel in the app, but I didn’t notice how long it would take.We arrived several hours after opening with the dog, not expecting an online order for two coffees to take over 30 minutes like I mentioned. The patio area was soaking wet because they were cleaning it, for some reason after opening. Since this was the case we went inside to wait. We waited 20 minutes, even though we told the employee we were here for our order.He then made comments about the dog. We told him there was no place to sit outside, we’re not gonna stand outside for 20 minutes, especially for two coffees and a doughnut. His only solution was to cancel the order if the time shows longer than expected. If that is Philz solution to their wait times and poor service, I’m not coming back.There was no apology, for the coffee taking so long and for us waiting so long even though they were pretty much empty. We told this employee Ryan were not coming back and he didn’t seem to care or get anyone to talk to us. We were regular customers, but will not be coming back.
I thought this place was the one but, nope. The first time here I got the philtered soul and it was perfect, I said if I can go a second time and it tastes the exact same, ill continue to come back. Nope, came back and it tasted completely different. I won't come back. This is main reason I don't go to Starbucks. Why can no one make a coffee drink the same everytime? If you're look for consistency don't wast your time at this place.

I absolutely love Philz coffee. Though the wait time can be up to 20 minutes, its worth it for me. I love the mocha tesora and all of their muffins. Amazing service and friendly staff (Ryan). Clean and covid compliant. Medium size patio, plenty of seating combined (indoor/outdoors).
While most places realize masks aren't effective Philz will refuse you service if you CHOOSE not to wear one. The only place locally that seems to make it a big deal. Gladly walked away and don't plan to be back.
Love Philz! I've been a regular and loyal customer of this coffee shop for years. Savory flavorful coffee - I love the iced mint mojito and the mocha tesora. Delicious baked goods (especially their coffee cake muffin).The atmosphere is warm and cozy. Friendly staff and great service. Indoor and outside seating. Parking is a hassle - but its worth it!ps. they have parking validation (parking structure)
