Stopped by around 8:30am on a Monday while on vacation. Drive thru experience was nice with no wait but donuts were dry as if they had been sitting around for hours. Ordered a variety of donuts and none tasted fresh or had great flavor. Coffee was burnt tasting and gave me indigestion. Had higher expectations of a local specialty donut shop. Maybe donuts are fresher at other times or days? I wish I had just picked up donuts at Ralphs.
Been going here for decades. Still the same hunger killing sandwiches. My fav, roast beef n swiss with the works. Extra $ for avo n bacon worth it. Get on toasted fresh dark squaw bread. Bulk chips @ home. Soda if eating in, MED then get the refill. Very nice staff. Fresh taste donuts 24hrs a day. Two nice sammies under 20$, win-win.
This place is famous for tuna salad sandwich on squaw bread. $10.for a whole sandwich. Drive thru window. Made fresh to order by a very cute girl. You can pick the veggies you want to add on your sandwich.
I love this place and have been many times.... As you can see, the building and its location are nothing special. However, if you TRUELY LOVE a good donut, this place makes THE BEST glazed donuts (the glazed twists in particular), though other items are good too (try the baked cinnamon roll for those looking to avoid the fried confectionaries).The thing that makes the glazed twists the best is their dough recipe, whatever it is. The recipe has achieved the perfect dough density and texture, in my opinon. For comparison, the Krispy Kreme is very light, not dense, and delicate. Some other places, the dough is too dense losing its softness with an almost brick-like stiffness. If you want to try one of the best glazed donuts ever, stop by this place in the earlier morning hours to grab a freshly made classic glazed twist donut that is not only larger in size than most twists, but with a taste and texture that just cannot be beat.
I and my partner went there Sunday 2-6-2022 in the evening (at approximately 8:00pm) to have a doughnut and relax. The person working there had a puppy in the kitchen and was handling the puppy while wearing neoprene gloves.. She (the employee) must not have been aware that there are not to be animals inside an area where food is being prepared. My partner and I immediately left the premises.I was tempted to take a video, and call the health department but decided just leave instead.
This place has very good donuts but highly aggravated by the service.Came in late in the evening looking to buy donuts to take into the office the next day to save time.The donut selection for the day was cleaned out, which I somewhat understand, although the fact that open 24 hours you would think that they would periodically make small batches of donuts throughout the day.Anyway, The ladies working the counter suggested that we pre-order and pay now and they would make sure that our order was filled and ready to go in the morning when we came by to save us time.This sounded good.... HoweverWhen we arrived in the morning we went to the drive-up window and no one was available in the store, after waiting a protracted amount of time we got frustrated and went inside.The woman working the store did not have our order ready, and in fact had no idea what we were talking about.Luckily we had the receipt handy, still she gave off a very inconvenienced vibe. She made no apologies for the mistake again the vibe she gave off was the opposite. Customer service is SEVERLY LACKING!!! Maybe owners should train their staff some customer service skills since word of mouth is what keeps their business open.I have no idea why we are stupid enough to prepay. It ended up making the process longer, we would have been out of there sooner if we didn't have to hassle with proving that we'd already prepaid and explain it to the woman working the store. Won't be doing that again.
Great, fresh donuts! Besides the screaming homeless man who sits in the doorway, this place has great donuts and sandwiches! Friendly, fast service and awesome prices.
Forget Sidecar. This is what a donut shop is supposed to be. None of the phony "upscale" stuff like overly expensive boxes with printed ribbons, or over-the-top interior design. Just fast service, a huge variety, and great tasting products. Why spend $6 for a simple cake donut when you can buy an apple fritter as big as your face for half that, AND get it 24/7 instead of only on Thursday?Plus they have a drive through!
Their sandwiches are the best! The sourdough is amazing and you can tell it’s freshly baked. The drive thru is super convenient. I am a regular for their turkey sandwiches and coffee : )
