Read the reviews of others saying how great the pizza is and the bread is very good but that is basically all the pizza I got was, just bread. I ordered pepperoni and black olive and the pizza I got was 95% or more just bread. Basically no tomato sauce of which I have even asked about when I ordered and was assured it had plenty of sauce....actually next to none. And toppings were next to none on pizza. If they put some sauce on the pizza and a normal amount of toppings like other restaurants, the pizza would be good. For the price they charge for pizza they really should be generous with toppings instead of so stingy that some pieces may have one sliver of olive or one peperoni. :( More like an open faced grilled cheese sandwich. Doubtful I would order again and just bread.

Walked in to place a “to go order”. Ordered a cheese ravioli with marinara. Had previously been there with my daughter and ravioli was OK. Anyway when I opened the order later it was some other kind of ravioli. Was the worst thing I ever tasted. I threw it away. I called twice and there was no manager or owner available to speak with. $17. for this miserable food, was definitely overcharged and received wrong order. I expect a refund or will simply dispute.

I have been looking for a good Italian restaurant in Costa Mesa for some time and I was really looking forward to Nick's as it came recommend but I can't highly endorse it. Maybe they are having trouble like everyone else and can't find help but we went there on a Tuesday night and the place was only a third full yet the service was painfully slow. We had to ask for a water for my son three times before he got it. We asked for my daughter's capacino several times and was told it would be right out but it never came. The didn't make my daughter's lasagna and it only came out after the rest of us were finished with our food. Overall the food was good but not great. The red (tomato) sauce was too sweet for our taste. I couldn't taste the garlic in the garlic bread. The prices are about 60% higher that I would have expected before the Pandemic, so I guess they are reasonable for today's economy. My search for good Italian food will continue.

I have been going to Nick's pizza for over a decade. It's nice be of the best pizza places and rivals northeast pizza! Additionally, the seafood dishes are also to die for. This family run business also has the personality of a small business with glass bal chain taste. It is a must eat restaurant when I visit SoCal!

Could easily be the best pizza in the world. Nick's have been in biz for decades. The waiters are efficient ,friendly and never miss a beat! The whole experience is a 10+. If you don't like pizza their menu has something for everyone!

Surprising gem. We had the pizza. As other have mentioned....many employees not doing much, but the food is excellent. There can be some improvement (in my opinion) like more sauce, and should be a little more tangy. But overall ties for the best pizza in Orange County, due to the best crust around.

Another great restaurant love their steak, lamb chops and great spaghetti and meatballs. Great service as well

Showed up 30 minutes before closing. Took a bit to grab someone's attention at the door but did finally get seated. We come here often so ordered our food quick, got our food quick, everything was delicious! Another happy visit??

My friend recommended me to try this place and we were shocked by how the way we were treated as customers. Went in around 4:30 PM yesterday and ordered dinner. The salad came out and I found 6 hairs in the salad. I told the waiter and he said there is no woman working here and he was looking at me like I did it. Then he pulled one of the hairs in front of us from the salad and it was about two feet long. There was a woman at the bar working there and the waiter handle the situation very poorly. It was the worst display of poor customer service that I have ever seen. The hair was deep in the salad. I would never put my hair in the salad in a restaurant and any suggestions of that sort is ridiculous. I advise the owner to be aware cause if he kept his kind of manipulative employees there will be no more customers in the future.

Very good NY pizza with delicious toppings, super nice people. Convenient location for lunch while doing errands and a nice dining room to take some time to relax. Decent beer tap selection too.
