This was an easy walk from our hotel. My husband ordered the Hawaiian pizza, my son ordered a cheese pizza, my daughter ordered the penne with marinara, and I ordered a Margherita pizza. Every entree was delicious, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their choices. I made sure to save this place to my favorites so I will remember it next time we are in Costa Mesa.
Overall the experience was fine. The pizza was fine. But I wouldn't seek it out in the future. The $8.00 Garden Salad was rather bland and very small. My husband loved his pasta dish with artichokes in it and seemed to enjoy the garlic bread, enough to eat it all. :) Everything has to be ordered separately. The salad and garlic bread do not come with your pasta. And is therefore charged separately, which adds up quickly. They have some un expected tastes and sides, like onion rings and a pasta with jalapenos in it. Unexpected in an Italian restaurant. All-in-all, I think it was a little pricey for what we got. But the ambiance was nice...comfy. and the bartender/server was very nice. I think it is probably a nice place for the neighborhood folks to enjoy. And I would possibly eat here again, if I happened to be in the neighborhood. But I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again. Oh... and if I did come back I would opt for the pasta instead of the pizza.
Honest people. About a week ago, my friend left her purse with thousands of dollars of jewelry and things inside. It was there waiting for her the next day with nothing missing. The food is great, including the pizza, which is hard to find in this area. Romantic ambiance, but not overdone. The owner, Giovanni, obviously takes pride in his restaurant and it shows in every detail, including the friendly and honest staff who also take pride in their work.I'm from Chicago and I consider myself an expert on good pizza and not just deep dish, which I've eaten at the top restaurants all over the country and this one is on par with some of the best. They even have green olives, which I've noticed is a sign of an Italian restaurant with great food and not just the pizza.I only wish they were on Uber Eats, DoorDash, Post Mates, and especially Grubhub, so I could use the coupons and discounts they sometimes provide, as I would most often use them here.Place should have 5 stars.
Excellent pizza, great service. Fun locals place I stumbled upon and was delighted with the people and the food.
Food is very good, rather small portions...but this place is SUPER, super EXPENSIVE!!! One person w tip was almost $50.00. The outdoor patio was great.

We always Carbo Load here for the Surf City and Orange County Marathon/Half Marathons. Tonight 10 Sep 21, we Carbo loaded for the Surf City Half Marathon on 11 Sep.The place is always very clean and the servings are generous and tasty! The service is excellent.
