Everything was perfect. Our service was SO nice and the food was magnificent.
I liked it but not enough to fight the line or the parking lot to eat at. I enjoyed the meat here but I feel like there are other places I would prefer to eat at with less stress and less waiting.
The food was great. Quality of the meat was excellent. Loved the cabbage salad. Garlic rice was great. I love this place. If you like BBQ and want excellent quality of meat, you'll love Manpuku. I highly recommend this place. Been going to it for years.
We called ahead on 5/17/22 to make a reservation at the Costa Mesa location and the host lied to us telling us they’re booked, but I was able to place a reservation at 9:45 online. When I walked in an hour early, the host was turning away customers when there was still availability on the website. After they left, I waited for him to address me next as I wanted to check in, but he didn’t bother to greet me and walked past me 5 times. I approached him letting him know I wanted to check in. He confirmed my reservation but sounded annoyed and told me that last call will be immediately after getting seated. When I walked back in 10 min prior to my reservation to check on my table, I saw that he had shut down 3 tables, making customers wait longer than necessary. We pointed to the empty tables and he said we have to wait until current diners are done to seat us at those tables. At that point, we decided to leave after waiting over an hour due to his demeanor as he did not make us feel welcomed and almost felt like he was trying to punish us for making the reservation near closing.The way he operates, he cost the company a minimum of $500 profit tonight, including the customers he turned away when he could have seated them too.
Food was great ??.Service was not there and overall cleanliness and noise was not appealing.This was not a first impression we had hoped for .
The meat served here is really good. The cuts are well marveled and very tender.
High quality cuts of meat, a bit pricey but you are paying for what you get. I always order the cabbage salad as a a starter, their dressing for it is so yum!
The service was ok. They brought our sides after the main course. I would not have ordered more food, had I been given my rice and soup before. It was very well seasoned meat and shrimp. Overpriced compared to K-BBQ
I haven’t been here in 5 years. Was expecting incredible food and an incredible experience. The staff were marginal, they did not open the door until 10 minutes after they were supposed to. They are cutting corners. It’s embarrassing. I hate to say it but Gyu Kaku has finally beaten them at their own game.
Love this place, love the food! Be forewarned the price isn't cheap, but then again you get what you pay for. The food quality here is top notched and the marinate are spot on. I like to enjoy my A5 without any sauce. They do use gas grill and I think it would be phenomenal if can switch to charcoal.Parking here can be a difficult especially if you have an SUV, and reservations are recommended.
