Lookin kinda skimpy with the fries Dave! Got a whole pickle in my slider and chicken was very bland and tasteless. Would rather have eaten at chick fil a or canes. NOT WORTH $15
I love Daves Hot Chicken but this location just made it good, not great. The mac and cheese was so watery and had no flavor. The slider barely had any coleslaw or anything in it, might have well just gotten the tender instead, especially since I paid extra.
I don’t know what corners were cut during the expansion of Dave’s Hot Chicken but eating here makes me wish it never grew beyond LA. I regarded eating at the original location as life changing and was excited when they announced they were going to be opening a spot in Costa Mesa - So it should go without saying that the results were disappointing to say the least. It wasn’t all bad - The crew were super polite, but the prices are too high for a product that comes out soggier than two-hour-old cereal and milk. My advice: Make sure the chicken is crisp but not greasy when it hits the bun and see if you can add more value to the customers. I get the landlords have $$$ in their eyes but a better chicken sandwich would see me repeating as a customer instead of apologizing to my disappointed friends for telling them this place was better back in LA.
sandwich was not that big, flavor was not that special but overall great and nice atmosphere, i wouldn’t come back; for the price would rather go to chick fil a right across the street
? Best chicken EVER!!! If you haven't eaten Dave's you need to. Hot, juicy, tender white meat. I love how simple the menu is. Definitely get the #3 so you can get strips and a slider. And the slider isn't a tiny slider, it's a whole dang sandwich! Definitely get some extra Dave's sauce, you'll need it!!! It's so so good. I dipped my fries, slider and tender in it. I love the spice scale options. No spice to burn your tongue off lol. The Kale slaw ??. Man I wish I had one of these near me! Great food, great staff, super clean, great music!
I ordered 'HOT' and it was really spicy. But it was delicious. Food was fresh and great friendly service. They're not accepting cash at the moment, so card only.
One of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. Highly recommend it and will def be back. Also the staff was outstanding, Paul is the best. Recommend the medium.
First of all, the chicken was super flavorful, crunchy yet tender. But the customer service was even better. The employees were very accommodating and friendly. Plus if you are a student, you get 10% OFF!!!
