Very good food, very clean, and very friendly staff, variety of dishes

we had a Buffet Lunch. 2 appetizers, 2 dessert s, 4 dishes for vegetarians. The food was tasty. expensive for my blood. 19$/plate. The place was clean. the cook(also owner I think) came over to check on us. it is complete self service place. you pick your own water (right next to buffet table). I would say $13/ plate would have been a fair price I have have had more exquisite spread, decor and service for $15 a plate.

This restaurant was quite nice. San Fran has like a thousand Indian restaurants and if you do not maintain quality economic pressures will force you shut. The ambience and table staff were very welcoming and friendly. We ordered ginger Cauliflower, Aachari Chicken, Dal Makhni, assorted bread basket, dahi chat, and Aachari Paneer. The Aachari Paneer was very good. The entrees were also very good. Breads were soft and very fresh.Overall very good, clean environment, and I will certainly visit again to try other dishes.

The food is amazing here! Very fresh. Naan is freshly baked. Same is the service. Neha was very nice explaining all the food. Also, I liked the fact that when we ordered medium spicy it was medium spicy. It was not hot and spicy as usually it happens in Indian restaurants. Definitely recommend.

The buffet food was pretty good with everything being hot and fresh as I came at opening. Everything seemed pretty fresh with some of the pieces of tandoori chicken being a bit on the dry side (the white meat was dry), but the curries made up for it with tender meat. The chili chicken had a mix of sweet, sour, and spice, but was let down by the almost soggy feeling of the chicken. It would benefit by being either fried or grilled prior to putting the sauce on just for a better texture. The butter chicken and malai paneer were pretty good. Butter chicken has a distinct flavor of fenugreek. Also the chicken could be cut up smaller to make it easier to eat with naan (some of the pieces are 1 inch by 2 inches). The lamb curry had a lot to desire due to it mostly consisting of bones. The selection was pretty average and not incredibly diverse with few options for vegetarians, but the selections that the did have were quite good with good flavor buffet, but the price is a bit on the higher side for Indian buffets and would be better priced between $15 to $18 rather than the $20 price considering that most of the items are chicken based and you’re primarily filling yourself up on naan and rice with curries for flavor.

The newly opened restaurant isn't south Indian anymore. The ambiance is better than before. Samosas were good, the honey chilly cauliflower was just dipped in tomato ketchup. Tamarind rice was good, veg biryani was really bad, I didn't like it. We took the leftover biryani home and found a piece of chicken, seriously?? I am vegetarian, chai was the worst, don't order it.

If you wish to eat authentic North Indian food, then try this restaurant. They have lunch buffet all days of the week and also A la carte. We had the lunch buffet which had lots of vegetarian options. Food is not very oily and tastes like home cooked. New management has taken over and that shows in the new ambience, taste of food and the quality of service. Even their rest room is very neat.

Buffet lunch was amazing. A lot of variety in veg and non veg options. Very tasty food.Paisa vasool. ( value for money)We were a mixed group of children and adults, veg and non veg but everyone was happy with the food, ambiance and cleanliness. Will look forward to coming again.

Gourmet Surprise! I was really amazed how beautiful and delicious the dishes were. The service was top notch as well. I would expect to pay 2-3 times more for an experience like this. I was expecting average and received extraordinary! Looking forward to going back again and again.

The place was busy but the food is just bland. Royal Indian Cuisine is way better than Swagat. Im sorry but if you want flavor, go Royal. You wont regret it.
