This was, without a doubt nor the slightest exaggeration, the worst Chinese food I’ve bought in many years. Not only was it not ready on time, despite there being no customers at all in the restaurant (no surprise, I see now). I was charged according to a different(?) menu’s prices- far more than what their online menu states. And honestly, I could have dealt with the above issues MAYBE if the food was even remotely good. It was awful. I was embarrassed for bringing this to a family get together. We threw it out. Yes, that bad; and also with a woman behind the counter that was so rude she would be fired if it weren’t her family’s business.Hot & Sour Soup- Edible..?Crispy Scallops- Dry, chewy, and nothing more than a few scallops fried in batter.. no sauce, veggies, or anything of any kind to go with itCombination chow mein- Maybe edible? At best? Overcooked, oversized, mealy mush noodles with no flavor, but a lot of oil.DO NOT GO HERE.Try Yan’s on N Main in Walnut Creek instead- their food is always amazing
It was a very good place to eat at their beef and broccoli was on hit and the salt pepper shrimp was fantastic I can't lie I was eating it all up and I wish I had pictures but ate all the food all the time I thought about I could take a picture. If you really don't know this place go hit it up you don't know what I mean
Great Cantonese food. Ate Singapore curry rice noodles.
Great service and good selection of Cantonese dishes.
The only thing that was OK and seemed fresh was the fried rice. The lemon chicken and the pot stickers were horrible. It looked like they were cooked the day before. I had to toss the pot stickers that were like rubber. Nothing was hot and I got there before the order was ready. Obviously we will not go back.
My family has patronized this establishment for several years, however the quality of food and service has really gone down. Not sure if there was change of ownership, but we did not enjoy the experience and don't plan on visiting again. When we asked for more green tea, the waitress just added more hot water to a large pot. We were 6 in the party and not once did the waitress ask us if all was well. The chicken felt chewy and the generals chicken i ordered was not What I expected.
Called in an order to pick-up and was told 30 minutes. Arrived on time and found 4-5 other people also waiting. Dining room was empty and full of dirty tables, the roof was leaking in multiple locations and the fresh fish tank had several fish swimming upside down. Another aquarium (tropical fish?) looked like a science fair project on algae! The restaurant was filthy and cluttered. The food (which I hesitated to eat) finally showed up 20 minutes after I arrived. Food sucked!
Nice little lunch spot, got me some chow mein and sweet & sour chicken that hit the spot. Food took a little longer than I would have liked considering it was not too busy, but I'm not complaining.
Been going here since I was a kid. No complaints ! Delicious
Been going here with my family ever since I was a kid, Great to see them still around and still serving some of the best Chinese food around town. Super delicious, consistent, and affordable. I love New Lim's
