The service wasn't great, half the item I try to order was missing, no gloves were worn during food prep, just a quick wipe on their apron between food to cash... Also, price listed on the online menu is completely different from instore price (40% higher or more). I get one or mistakes sure, but its like everything was just not right...
The best in whole area... love their veggie placido Domingo! Special mayo is perfect. The pastrami is tasty also. Never change... not sure if you can get any better?
I haven't been to Luigi's for quite a while. I've been craving it for months. In the past week I went twice and it was closed so I was bummed. Finally went again yesterday and it was own but it looked empty. It looked very different than usual. Let them know that I had can't buy twice last week and they were closed and they said they must have run out of supply. I also never seen these 2 employees. Anyway I usually order the dogwood on a sourdough roll but switched it up. I asked for mortadela, Jack, Lettuce, tomato, peppercinnis n pickles on a sourdough hard roll. Want watching her make it. I paid and left and once I got to my destination and opened it, it was not on a sourdough hard roll, it was missing the peppercinnis and pickles and the famous garlic mayonnaise. This is not the old Luigi's. They must have kept the name but it's not the same owners. Was very disappointed. I now need to find a new place. That used to be the spot but new owners and sandwiches are not close to what they used to be.
I had to try the #3 best restaurant in Concord. Hard to believe it gets the ratings. First impression (not their fault) 2 homeless guys sitting and lying on the sidewalks next door and nearby. Then, handwritten sign on the door, sorry cash only, our network is down. I should have left. But I didn’t, waited for a couple minutes while the couple ahead of me ordered, then a second person came out to help me. I told how much cash I had with me, asked what I could get, she said “I don’t know!” Like she couldn’t be bothered with such a silly question. Then she nodded to the menu, to imply I should figure it out myself. I ordered a Caesar Chicken sandwich (btw, prices are several dollars higher than the menu here on TripAdvisor). “Oh, sorry, we’re out of Romaine lettuce.” The sandwich was good, got in and out quick enough, not all bad, but not sure if or when I’ll be back.
Very disappointed. Called at 3 to place a phone order and was told they were not taking anymore phone orders. Ask when they closed, they said 4. Got down there 3:30 and was asked if we had a phone order and I said we called and were told no more phone orders. Told us they were closed. Don’t tell customers 4 if that’s not true. Luigi’s one of our favorite delis but not returning!
Deli was just a sandwich place nothing was special..thay ran out of Dutch Crunch Roll at 1pm ..SAD.....The Other ISSUE I HAVE ...is the meat was all weighted out and sitting in the open air...Before thay would slice the meat..I'm a bit taller and can see over the counter..my meat was not fresh like prior Visits. ...NOT ACCEPTABLE .Help was doing the best thay could ...NOT GOING BACK...
A town gem. It's always a treat to have my Luciano Pavarotti or Enrico Caruso sandwich. Their tuna is also the best!
Always a pleasure to enter an establishment and immediately know that your presence is appreciated. Smiles and a cheerful greeting go a long way. Nice selection of sandwiches along with some homemade salads, Italian meals and deserts.
These are proper American-Italian deli sandwiches with their own regional quirks. My French girlfriend says they aren't special but I love them.
Service was the greatest. They always greet you. Because it is their "winter hours" their selection was not as full as normal. I went early to avoid the crowds. Apparently the men in the area order their sandwiches over the phone and get there early to pick up their lunch. Google said their hours were 9 to 6. However, their winter hours are 10 to 5.
