Salad was enough for two. I ate half my food because he was so much. Salmon was cooked perfect. I'd just say less pepper
Chicken fried steak was a great choice. Was able to cut it with my fork. Gravy could have been hotter but was ok. I do recommend ordering chicken fried steak. I had the breakfast choice.
Great southern style food with big portions! Our server informed us that they make only a certain amount of pot pies each day. We were lucky enough to order one. When we went to order more pot pies as to-go orders they told us they had already sold out for the day. Definitely coming back to get those pot pies! Their pancakes were so fluffy and delicious. They were almost the size of the plate. We left super stuffed and satisfied! Coming back to visit!
We were seated right away. Our waitress & the staff were very friendly and on it when it came to our drinks. I ordered the ground beef taco salad, it's enough for 2 ppl (it's bigger in person). Ground beef was tasty with good seasoning. Fresh salad mix with olives, cheese, purple onion, tomatoes, fresh avocado, refried beans, jalapenos with a mild salsa (tasty but not hot) and your choice of salad dressing in a good size taco shell. Delicious!! We also ordered chicken fried steak with fresh broccoli and red mashed potatoes with gravy... Fresh and flavorful. Definitely recommend. ???

I’ve been here three time so far and every time is great.. pancakes are so good. My son always gets the pancake combo. And I get the grizzly meal. This place is always great before going to work! Keeps me going all day…
Food was delicious, portions were huge. Didn't picture the kids volcano but was plenty for a little one and included a sundae if you ordered after 11am.
This was my first time here. I have to say I enjoyed it very much. The food is really good and so is the service. I had the meat lovers omelette, it comes with ham, thick cut bacon and sausage with Monterey jack cheese. Black Bear Diner uses real ham and very good bacon and sausage. The omelette comes with hash browns or home fries. You won't go wrong either way. It also comes with a really good biscuit and gravy as well. The prices are a little bit high but who's aren't these days. I'm looking forward to returning to Black Bear Diner to try something else. So if you are on or near Valley and Pepper in Colton or visiting Arrowhead hospital go have yourself something to eat. They also have desserts to go.
Came here on a whim while we were looking for food. Great googly moogly were we impressed. I went with the tri tip and eggs and jumpin jee-hosofat was it amazing. Crisp on the edges, tender in the middle and seasoned to perfection. The bacon, eggs and hashbrowns were the best compliment to the meal. Amazing portions and equally amazing price, coupled with un-bear-ably fun bear decor everywhere immediately endeared the restaurant to the family. If the folks at Black Bear Diner keep that delicious tri tip coming, we'll keep coming back.
