Been going to YFC for years. Always consistently good food. And what's just as good as the food there Is the family of people that work there.
We decided to share a fried chicken dinner and there was still plenty of food. It came with a salad, mashed potatoes and veggies. We also ordered a bowl of the homemade chili. The chili was excellent, it came with actual steak pieces and it was topped with cheddar cheese. Our waitress was so nice, she had them split our dinner before bringing it to our table. I would definitely return to this establishment.
The service was good, friendly, and helpful and the ambience is comfortable and inviting. The food was alright. My salad was sopping wet with how over dressed it was (but it *was* tasty, and flavors all came together nicely). Next time I'll ask for the salad dry with dressing on the side. Nice selection of salads by the way. My friend's food, the blackened chicken pasta, had a bit more of a kick of heat it in than she expected and wanted. It was ok, but due to the heat build up over the course of the meal wasn't able to eat very much of it. Since I'm new to the area and the staff was so kind, I'll probably give it another try but ask quite a few more questions (and my salads as stated above). Note that this is more comfort food place than very health conscious.
we came during the happy hour so we got the appetizers and lunch special everything was delicious and the service we had was awesome
Dated and hokey decor. Okay menu, food is not always consistent, annoying that they serve a salad in a small bowl and you're supposed to figure out how to toss your salad without making a mess. Prices are a bit steep. Servers are nice and on the ball for the most part. Maybe I'll go back. There are better places.
I came here for a couple of functions and they Had a really good appetizer selection. However, I asked for a water and 15 minutes later I asked again. The server said “sorry, I think I gave it to someone else!”. (Oops) we’re all human and life went on…..
One of the worst experiences we have ever had. We went during breakfast . Started with our drinks and as my daughter sipped her hot chocolate she spat out a roach ! Disgusting and completely horrifying. Didn’t make a big deal about it, asked the waiter to cancel our order and we left .
The food was good and so was the service. The proportions were large so come hungry, share a meal, or take some home for later. Hard to tell what is expensive anymore, so I would say that the entrees were moderately priced given the proportions. Bon appetit.
We walked into a almost a empty restaurant (Clovis location) with no greeter at the front door. After my family and I (6 of us total) stood at the front door for at least 5 minutes we had a server as he was walking bye tell us that someone would be right with us. Just several moments later a gentleman came to the front area that was dressed in nice clothes indicating that he was someone of authority there. Not to help us or even greet us, he opened the register and started counting it. At this point it draws my attention to the plexiglass divider he was standing behind in silence as he counted his cash and I see a very small sign stating that they were being forced to charge an extra 3.5% to all purchases made in their restaurant. We dont see any other establishments in Clovis or Fresno for that matter charging this inflated charge. We will not be going back as long as this location continues to offer this poor of service, nor will we if they continue to charge this imaginary charge.
Maybe the best omelet I've ever had; service is very nice. Lots of folks w/ no masks, though the wait staff is following current protocol.
