Sometimes you find a place worth an unsolicited review and multiple visits. Michelangelo's is just that place. The first impression is a welcoming and accommodating staff willing to ensure the customer are greeted and treated with respect. You can tell the restaurant is family-owned as they make you feel like part of the family when you walk in. The service is excellent and the food superb. We ordered a calzone (Calzone - Make it the Mo) and a pizza (Van Gogh) to try out their specialties (Credit to the Chef Omar, outstanding job). Both were by far the best we have ever eaten. The other surprising part of the restaurant is the drinks. Michelangelo's has by far the best collection of whiskey I have seen in a long time. Their bartender (Diego) created some great cocktails and let us try some assortments of whiskeys showing good knowledge of what he was serving. If you can find yourself in the Fresno area, stop by and experience what Michelangelo's has to offer. You will not be disappointed and are guaranteed to go again. It will become our go-to restaurant.
Overrated regarding their Old Fashion's. Food was average at best. I had so much hope for this place after the rave reviews I heard from my brother in law. Wedding soup was salty. Marinara sauce was too sweet. Could have used more seasoning, i.e. garlic and such. Wouldn't go back. Not the worse in Fresno/Clovis area...just not great
I wish I could give the females that were cure a negative star they are rude laugh at you and throw ice at you when you ask them to remake their drink after they've made it wrong. I went tonight to get a drink and asked them to remake it properly They tried to tell me they didn't have the ingredients to make it properly and that they would charge extra for it I said OK we'll hurry up and make my drink properly and in the middle of doing that they were throwing the ice in the cup and throw it at me it landed on the floor there was a lady and a burgundy sweater with curly hair maybe Mexican was laughing and smiling Can I ask them to remake my drink the one with pink hair was just rude and lazy not wanting to make the drink properly. Very bad customer service y'all just as ugly as your hair style and fake colors
We have always enjoyed there pizzas but for this trip we had drinks/apps at the bar and they were great.They have a good selection on beers on tap and there is something for everyone (hazy, sour, stout). The real secret is their bourbon selection. They have almost anything you could ask for and a reasonable prices. EH Taylor 4 grain for 35 a pour, yes please. They have the BTAC line up, mitcher 20!!! Lastly there cocktails are balanced and well made.Excited to find out they were this good.
Omar is the greatest...always remembers what kind of pizza we order....its like a combination of 2 or 3 different ones put together....tbey need to put it on the menu..lol
I only came to try their whiskey and it did not disappoint. It was crowded when we arrived so good indication that the food is good as well. We did sample the Chipotle and chips and they were worth getting again. My friend even bought a pint of the Chipotle sauce. The homemade chips were warm and well salted. Give this place a shot.
Sooo good. 1st time at this restaurant and will make sure we return. Our group had a great experience and the food was phenomenal! Killer bar options!
this place was awesome. never knew it was here. we always go to Lunas Italian restaurant a couple blocks away, but we will definitely be back. the server ( the owners daughter) went beyond and above, and we even showed them a drink from the internet and they made it. it was a great experience for my moms birthday!!! beyond 5 stars
Fantastic! This place has excellent food I have eaten at many Italian restaurants and this ranks among the best. You have to try the lasagna ?
Nice people, but calzone was not cooked to golden brown, hardly had any cheese in it when I specifically asked them to put extra cheese in it. Was filled more with ground beef than anything else. No toppings or garnishes on top like shown in pictures.Sides were really expensive. Not sure I'll be back.
