when I come to Kemps BBQ I know I’m getting good food every time I walk in those doors u will not be disappointed the staff are very friendly as well in my opinion nothing touches Kemp BBQ in quality right now. btw I recommend the brisket , ranch beans , hot link.- Nate
One of the best places serving TX style brisket in FAT and damn good tri tip. Cut to order…doesn’t get any better than that!Brisket: 8.5/10. Seasoning and smokiness was spot on. Meat was fork tender, especially the point muscle. Only complaint is the lack of juiciness, especially on the flat muscle…still tender but needed a drink to help it down. My guess is the slab had cooled down too much in the keeper cause it wasn’t as warm as I would’ve hoped and there wasn’t as much running juices while being sliced. Nuke it for 20sec and it would easily be a 9.0. Get a fresher slab and you’ve got a 10!Tri-tip: 9.5/10. Excellent! Doesn’t get any more tender than this and well seasoned. Would’ve been perfect with a side of au jus.
Brisket melts in your mouth. Staff is very nice and service is quick. Cook is on site and asks if they can do anything to make the food better.
Best BBQ in town! Sides are just as amazing as the BBQ! My favorite place in Fresno county!
This is hands down the most authentic Texan BBQ you will find in Central California! As someone who lived in Austin for almost a decade, I have had some good brisket (think Franklin's BBQ, Salt Lick and Rudy's) that is the quality you are getting here at Kemps! My whole family is excited and we will probably be back every week!
Keep it simple! That is the way I like to see a business ran, great food! Order was quick and easy. The menu was perfect with basic BBQ choices will definitely come back!
First time I came in they were out of everything but a few racks on ribs and a cup of rice so I picked it up for dinner. The whole family loved the ribs ! So I went back for lunch the same week and got brisket and pulled pork … the pulled pork was SOOOOOO SALTY and uneatable . Came back 2 weeks later for another chance and got dinner …. ALL OF THE MEAT WAS OVER COOKED . Tri tip, brisket all but the ribs. The brisket , rice and Mac and cheese again was incredibly salty. Way over priced and a hit and miss …. not to mention the rude girl ( long brown hair , Caucasian ) to ever come back again !
The food was decent. Ribs weren’t over done. The lady owner was really nice. But the guy that makes the food actually assaulted an innocent bystander at a bar in Clovis a week ago. Hope that don’t reflect on this place in general.
I was very disappointed on the pork ribs, it was burnt with hardly no meat on the bone and the pulled pork had no flavor. I felt like I wasted my money. The customer service was good tho very friendly.
Best brisket in town by far! Pulled pork and tritip and delicious too. Go early, will run out of food early in a busy day.
