We love this place. The sushi bar is the best. They will make you what you want if you know what you are talking about. They made me a custom role and it was the best. I have not had bad service there yet. It is always our go to.

I ordered the half shell oysters and the super caterpillar roll. Both were plated beautifully and the flavor was to die for. The chef took his time to make a perfect plate and as you can see in the pictures, it was well worth it.

I have been coming to Japanese Kitchen for 2 decades. They are always consistent and the service is always good. I come here mainly for the sushi. While there are other places that may see more busier, this place, I believe just gets forgotten or over looked because it is not in a populated are such as River Park or by the college campus. Those people who want to go have sushi for a date night, don’t forget this place because you could beat the crowd and find a quieter atmosphere.

There’s a ton of teppanyaki places to choose from and unless you have some sort of loyalty to the dude with bullets it’s no different from anywhere else honestly. But just because it’s the same doesn’t mean it’s equal. This place deserves a 3/5 in my eyes.

Just wow, realized we had not been to Japanese in a while, and the other haunts had 40 plus minute waits?, we were seated immediately at Japanese kitchen and enjoyed solid Japanese favorites, huge portions, and excellent service. The dinner boxes are an amazing value. I'm sure they have not raised their prices yet from this latest round of inflation, so get in there quick!Features: Staff is masked up.

Amazing place to eat. We dine in close to the sushi bar. Food was great. Service was exceptional. I would recommend this place to eat.Make sure to call for reservations if need it. The place is really busy and for lunch they close early. Make sure you have that in mind

Had a great time for my sons 20th. Reserved for 20 and had an extra show up, but staff were accommodating all the way and super nice. Our chef was amazing and made our meal to perfection. Always a great time with great food here.

Traditional dining experience is a great option for bento boxes and sushi! Service is friendly and food is very enjoyable! Great place for lunch and for dinner. The fried rice is an excellent dish to share with the table!

Get the samurai and geisha drink along with your meals. its pretty good. the rolls are awesome and the sunomono is refreshing. The waitress is top notch friendly. Overall a very pleasant atmosphere which made me tip well.

Long time customer, but we will probably never go back again. A customer was blaring some terribly loud music right outside the front door of the restaurant as a welcome around 11:25AM. This proceeded for 5-10 minutes to start the wait when we already had a reservation. The restaurant did nothing about the vehicle playing the loud music right outside their entrance. We had a reservation for 4 people for at least 2 weeks and were still told to wait for at least 10 minutes with nobody in the restaurant since it just opened. They make you wait in a room full of people wearing masks too (Maybe we could have this figured out a little better by now). They make you wait until they have 8 people per table. That line.. "get their on time or they will give your table away" is complete garbage. They will make you wait for the last 2 to complete the table of 8 before they even seat you. It is just bad and greedy service in my opinion. I know they want to maximize the # per chef, but making people with reservations wait for late people is just wrong. Way too much money for the service and location these days. They can have their rude walk-ins that stiff them on the tips. I will take my money elsewhere where they honor reservations.
