We loved this place , we have eaten there many times and the food was amazing. But went today and we were disappointed and did not finish the food at all. The Tri Tip does not have the same flavor anymore and though it was still tender it tasted bad. The macaroni and cheese was dreadful now and it used to be very good. The sauce had broken, texture was awful, did not have enough noodles for the amount of sauce and the flavor is completely different not for the better. Also someone put jalapeños or something in the macaroni and cheese and it was not good. The potatoe salad was not good either. So I am sad to say that after loving this place so much we probably won't be going back since we were so dissapointed and couldn't eat the food.
I wouldn't recommend ordering food here on a Monday, that's when their service appears to be at it's worst. We recently ordered three plates of trip and brisket to go and arrived to have them ask us to switch the trip tip on one plate to a hamburger. Moreover, the front girl appeared flustered and inattentive throughout the whole process. When we opened our plates, all the items in the order were wrong and the burger never came with any sides to compensate for the price of a plate. When we called back, the front girl initially refused to compensate all three of the plates until we questioned about the missing sides. Overall, this incident exhibited the dishonesty and lack of regard present towards customers at the end of the day in favor of pushing them out the door to get home early. This conduct is subpar and likely to continue in the future orders. In general, I recommend going to another local barbeque place where they will treat all customers with equal regard and respect, rather than negligence and dishonesty.
It was great considering the fast, courteous, service of the front girl. She seemed like the only one who valued her job and knew what it meant to have one. I'm sure one day she'll be a great success. I wish her great success. I do not recall her name but that could be for the best. Hopefully the owner of this place will hire better employees or better yet make front girl the hiring manager and trainer if he wants to stay in business.
I tried this place for the first time the other day. I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries and mac & cheese. The pulled pork was great, had amazing flavor. Fries were piping hot and fresh. Unfortunately the mac & cheese and no flavor and the cheese sauce was grainy. Although I didnt like the mac & cheese this place is a neat little place to eat and still get a 5 star rating from me. I'll be returning.
Went to try this place for the first time, Ribs were tender but overcooked and not very flavorful. The brisket was dry, did not taste freshly cooked. There was no ice in the fountain drink area, and the coleslaw was bitter tasting. Mac and cheese looked microwaved and tasted terrible. The staff was friendly but I personally would not go back. Just my opinion.
We had Chucks BBQ cater an event for us and the food was amazing. Got plenty of compliments on the quality and taste. You will probably have many more customers in the future as they were all asking where u were located. Thank you for the delicious meal at an affordable price. And they delivered it! We will definitely be using you for future events.
Bbq good. Mashed potatoes great. Wish the coleslaw had more flavor mostly just taste heavy mayo. Plain roll. Cookie seems home made. Wish they had ice tea. Prices fair.
Hands down the best tri tip I’ve had!! Friendly and knowledgeable staff and the food is always amazing!! They also cater so if you have any events this is definitely your go to place to get great food!!
Had chucks to cater my wedding and they were WONDERFUL!!! Everyone LOVED the food. Every bit. They were on time, professional and kind. I had the Tri tip, chicken, pilaf, salad, hot dogs, and rolls. Super fantastic. Love that they have a restaurant now so I can get some whenever I want now! Thank you!!!!!
Meats are extremely tender and well seasoned. The sandwiches are stacked with layers of meat. Good selection of sides. Everything is great. Best BBQ in Fresno that I’ve tried.
