Absolute perfection best describes our meals. The Fried Chicken was a whole free range chicken cut up and was the most amazing delicious crispy battered chicken I've had EVER! How have I gone this long without trying this dish?!?! The flavor of the rosemary lemon brine was unbelievable! It was paired with the most perfectly seasoned fried potatoes. The Rigatoni pasta with sausage ricotta cheese broccoli melts in your mouth. The Union Pizza came with a unique blend of toppings that's sure to delightfully surprise you. The outdoor setting was nice and pleasant next to the heaters as we sat looking out toward the street and people watched as they passed by. Service was impeccable. Price was right for the quality and freshness of the meals.
My wife enjoys outings to this place. She loves the pasta dishes in the evenings and the biscuits for brunch. Admittedly, the cocktails are good here. The ambiance is fantastic. That said, the service is uneven and has gotten worse. The dinner menu and food is subpar in general given the price point. You’d be better off driving to LA for similar, if not better, ambiance, better food and service (if you hit the right places). It may take a little longer given the drive, but you’d spend about the same and have a better experience since you’d likely hit the kind of place Union on Yale only aspires to be. The aforementioned brunch is fairly priced, but it’s an average brunch menu; I can’t recall a single special item despite multiple visits. I wanted to like this place and have given it multiple tries, but it is simply pretentious.
Drinks were the best part (very pretty mixed drinks and great tasting ) ... had the meatballs small plate (that was good) ... for dinner had the roasted chicken plate ..yeah not so good.. chicken was hella salty (couldnt even eat it) and the roasted vegetables were over burnt artichokes.. but the mashed potatoes were good.Service was also very slow .. would have order more drinks but everything took so long including receiving drinks could only try 2 drinks during my time at this restaurant..Overal not the best experience but is a nice place for a few drinksAlso if u dont like eatting outside then dont eat here that is where most of the seating is outside.
Have been enjoying for over 10 years and everything is always fresh & delicious! Highly recommend the flammed old fashioned, fried chicken, pizza margherita, and all of the house made pastas. Staff is always personable and attentive.

Great service, great food and really comfortable setting. The supremo pizza will NOT disappoint. Perfect crust and tons of flavor. The other food we ordered was also on point.
I always have a great experience here. My daughters got the flapjack pancakes, which are amazing and the french toast which tastes like bread pudding. Delicious! The only downside is their water doesn't taste great. I think my home tap water might taste better.
Went in early on a Friday night. Quick seating and friendly staff. Drinks were a littleon the weaker side but the food was excellent. Ended up ordering the frites and Brussels sprouts for appetizers, and then we had a bunch of items off the dinner menu. Pizza was good, but the roasted chicken was EXCELLENT. Will be back again soon… probably just an off night with the drinks.

I love the food here and I have done my best to support you during the pandemic, but seriously get your hours straight on this site.It says clearly open until 10. Arrived at 8:57 and “unfortunately we cannot seat you.” I asked if I could buy food to go. “Unfortunately, we cannot take your order.”I responded with: I guess you actually close at 9, right? Management/owners should know that the employees are closing early.
