My husband and I were staying at the nearby DoubleTree for nearly a month and had dinner at Elvira's three times. Some of the dishes we enjoyed were the guacamole (prepared tableside), the grilled chicken fajita salad, enchiladas suizas, quesedillas and the mahi mahi fish tacos. Every dish we ordered was tasty and fresh. Their drinks are also great (and many, oversized). What we did not like at Elvira's was the service. It seemed that one person took our order, someone else brought the food to the table; another person brought drinks, etc. The problem we encountered was when we'd ask one of the servers for something (more chips, another drink, extra salsa, etc.) and no one seemed to take responsibility for our requests. Oh, the servers all sound quite accommodating, but that's as far as it went; most requests or questions went unanswered or ignored or it took forever to get what we needed. Their kitchen produces great food, but they really need to work on their service delivery.

We were seated on the patio. There was plenty of shade, it was cool, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Service was great, food was delicious, and I'll definitely be back.

I needed a place that wasn’t loud with patrons. Found this just by luck. I’m so glad I did. Parking was a breeze, as I was lucky enough to find a spot within steps of the entry (by back lot). They had just opened, so it was empty. I was seated outside and slowly, the lunch crowd began filling up the outside patio. My server immediately tended to me. Service was amazing, and I took his suggestion on what to order based on my cravings. I ordered the Mexican tacos. I was expecting a lunch size but was surprised to see a heavy portion. Nevertheless, I ate what I could. Good amount of steak (with a perfect amount of pink) and a good amount all the other toppings. The salsa that’s served with chips was the right amount of spice—loved it, as it was addicting, even if my mouth was on fire. The pricing may be a little up on the “average” scale, but it won’t stop me from coming. I’ll just be careful in what I order. ;)I’m happy I stumbled upon this place. When I’m in the area, I definitely will be back. Not just for the food, but for the staff. Every single person who works there was very nice and friendly. Great service.

Great food and ambience. Fair value, dollar or two more than other local Mexican restaurants. Fair service.

My first time with my husband and son. Loved how when you enter through the front you do not expect how the restaurant would look inside, i absolutely loved it and i can't wait to go back at night.Parking: Easy during the weekCustomer service: was empty once you enter, there were two employees were at the bar and a server did not greet us whatsoever. Me not knowing where to go asked where to check in and then was noticed. Disappointed ?Walked to the back, again not welcomed or acknowledged or helped. The employees seemed nice, we sat down not a lot of people but the atmosphere of the location seemed really nice.Food: my husband ordered the mole enchiladas, sadly it was extremely sweet and i tried it and was disgusted by it But he was hungry and ate it all and we also don't like leaving food on a plate. And we do ñet them know how our experience was when they ask.I ordered the chkn and steak fajitas, the chkn looked like it was frozen chkn and then grilled and the steak was really good. The portion was okay, not much honestly but I was able to share it with my son.Drinks: i ordered some raspberries alcohol drink don't remember the name and was disappointed, not much flavor and was really strong and did not finish it.Overall: i have some mixed feelings, and would definitely need to do another date and see how I feel again.

The Mexican food here is excellent and affordable with nice heated outdoor seating area and friendly service.

Amazing food and service. I definitely will return... Thank you manager Sandra and your staff for everything ??

This place was amazing. Starts off slow with no one taking our drink order for 15min. When the waitress took our drink and food order she was on point. We had the table side guacamole, fajita salad and carnitas dinner. All I have to say was OMG!!!! The food was amazing. Guacamole was perfectly spiced and creamy. Wife’s fajita salad came to the table sizzling. The gentleman put it all together at our table then tossed it with the dressing. The carnitas was juicy and mouth watering. Rice was moist and perfectly flavored. The price for 2 wasn’t bad at all. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

The wait time was a bit excessive, 1 hour to be exact. The service afterwards was great and the food was amazing.

We dined with another couple. Our server was great and they brought us unlimited chips and salsa, which was delicious. I had the steak and shrimp fajita entree which was delicious. The restaurant has a fantastic patio for outdoor seating, but it was closed due to the all day drizzle. Drinks were also very good, but not very large for a Mexican restaurant.
