A small outdated restaurant but is one of the best Shanghai style restaurants in LA area. The service is top notch.
Food are not taste as good as my own cooking (I'm not a good cook BTW)!! The portion is on the stingy side, and the price is expensive. Not recommended at all!!

Wow this is good Chinese food. I’m not from the area and places like this aren’t around where I live. Wish there was a place like this near me. I would eat here regularly if I lived in the area.

The four of us got there at almost 7 PM on New Year's Eve, there were three tables available. The wait staff were prompt to sit us, also friendly and eager to share what the house specialties were. It was our first time eating there. We ordered dishes of fried battered fish (w seaweed seasoning), wined chicken, stewed meatballs, pickled mustard green and two orders of steamed dumplings. All were above-average tasty with the wine chicken being exceptional. Portion of food was generous, we ended up having some leftover of the chicken, meatballs and mustard green. The total of bill came out to be $72 including tax ($2 for a bucket of rice). When paid in cash, desert of sweet rice balls filled with ground sesame seeds in soup was on the house. This place had a busy turnover even at 8 PM.
It's a very nice Chinese restaurant. The owner is very nice and the food is great. Definitely will come back again.
