Pre-pandemic this used to be one of my family's favorite burger joints, especially since they offer gluten free burger buns and knew our names and favorites ahead of time! Plus the food was consistently good. But when the pandemic hit this place went downhill fast. I'm guessing it was some kind of management issue as there were never enough employees and a lot of the ones they did have really seemed overwhelmed. The food wasn't great anymore even if you ordered ahead, and the wait time was absolutely bonkers. Seriously our last order in 2021 took 45 minutes! So we decided that until it got better we'd go elsewhere. We've been keeping an eye on reviews and since it looks like there are more positive reviews we decided to at least try again. Glad we did! We ordered online and went to pick it up. The food was already there and ready, and it was back to the same quality as it was before. The girl working the front was nice and friendly, and the place is renovated. Hopefully they're paying the staff well and giving them more hours so this kind of service can continue.
Felt like the cashier was put out having to take our order. Wanted 2 shakes but were told the shake machine was out of service. We sat at the one table that was clean in the empty restaurant. Sounded like the kitchen staff was having a good time. Looked like they were filling many door dash orders maybe that's the better way to go. The food was good.
Visited today for lunch and ordered to go. They were super busy and super under staffed. Our order took quite a long time and we were serve our shake before our food was ready so it was mostly melted by the time we got home. Our order was wrong too. We ordered a burger with no cheese and it had cheese… and two bacon burgers that had no bacon… these guys need some help. They were clearly stressed and struggling with the flood of lunch orders and did not have the proper support to make the orders correctly. No hate to the employees. They need help.
The First time I came here I waited 50 minutes for a cold stale burger, after I vocalized my complaint they offered a burger on the house the next time I came in. The DINE IN experience is much better. It only took 10 minutes for a hot delicious burger and the place is clean and has well lit seating. The specialty smash and accommodating staff changed this place from a 3 to a 10! ?
I enjoyed a single Patty smash Burger and Smash tots. Really really enjoyed both!! Would definitely get the smash tots again and I would say the Burger was the best quick burger place near by by far !
New to the area and Smash Burger was suggested over In & Out. Drove from Folsom today to try it. Ordered a DOUBLE without a bun, to go. Thought it felt a little light. Got all the way home and had ONE, maybe 3 oz dried up patty with a slice of tomato and a piece of lettuce, for $11. In & Out has them beat by 10 miles. Can't even get an order right, not like it was a huge order. Won't be back and won't recommend. The only reason they got 1 star was because the lettus was fresh ?
Let's start with the food is great! The time it takes to even take or order is awful, the service is worse. It doesn't matter if you order by phone, come in, online... it will take forever. Do not come her already hungry come an hour before you might get hungry.
Smash burger was my favorite place but got ruined today! So disappointed where this smash burger ended. A employee looked like she was straight tweaking. I got hair in my fries or sauce they did give us a family size fries which took very long to get and didn’t feel fresh so don’t understand why it took that long. Just disappointed in this now.
The cashier was so nice really nice guy food was good but the over all cleanliness of the place wasn't nice the cook had his nose out of his maskThe place smelled like sewage while waiting for our food; we went to sit down, and a whole row of seats had not been cleaned. We were only able to sit in the 2 person seats that were right next to the food window, and we were able to see a lady come out to use a table to fill cups of sauce; she wasn't wearing gloves. She finishes the cups, then leaves the container full of sauce on the table then goes to change the trashes (still without gloves). When we left, there was no direction on what we should do with our trays, so I tried to put my trays away in a bucket that was full of other empty trays. It seemed other people left their food on the table but we wanted to help out a little and put them away in the tray, but the lady putting things away quickly took the trays back out to remove the paper lining before coldly adding, "most people throw the trash away first." I didn't feel the need to point out that no, it seemed most people left the trash and trays on the table and we were trying to be nice, and instead said thanks again to the fantastic cashier on our way out.
Burgers are good, but I thought they could be better. Buns were cold. However, staff was very nice!
