Best Margarita ever!!! Salmon was indeed above my expectations in flavor…Definitely would return again. My buddy’s Campechana was also very very delicious (I don’t have a photo of it)
Took my family from out of town they loved the food, the service and the waitress was very busy but we got excellent service.
This restaurant has great Mexican cuisine and the greatest happy hour in all of San Diego County with $1.95 draft beers. This is the place to make your party happen.
Wow. Just wow. I stopped in for a to go order of the Combo Burrito thinking I was just gonna get a quick burrito to go and I got a whole like 5 course meal with salad, soup, chips and dip, beans and rice! And the FLAVOR!!! The food was amazing, like I can't even tell you, the spices are so good dude. If this place reads this review, please thank the chef for me personally because dude this was legit the best food I have had in a long time, it was so good. If you're reading this, go here. Like don't even think twice, it's legit, just go. I'm definitely coming back here and telling everyone I know about it. Dude. SO GOOD.
This is a really good place. One of my colleagues made a recommendation and the is very nice and we had a really good time. 10 of us none of us can speak any Spanish but the waitress spoke just enough English and she gave us good recommendations and the food is delicious. They even let us customize so one of my friends even ordered a Chipotle shrimp chimichanga.Very good food. They have a lot of good sea food.
This place used to be good. I returned to have dinner after 6 months since my last time here. Well, this time it was disappointing. I ordered the "zarandeado fish" (which I used to have here) and it was .. a very small fish covered with a tone of cooked onion. I could barely find any meat under the thick cover of onion and sauces. Obviously they charged it as a regular sized fish. So, practically I paid 28$ (+tax+tip) for a plate full of cooked onion..! They just lost a returning customer. (I complained to the waiter; I don't think he cared)
I had a 2 Taco platter- one fish and one smoked fish. I was so hungry that I was eating it and didn't realize until I really looked at it, but it didn't look fully cooked. I was not really expecting a sushi ? taco. The smoked fish, which I would expect to be somewhat salty, was VERY salty. The server was very courteous. however, there was another server eating near the drink machine, no mask. This didnt strike me as being sanitary.
Wow just wow. Raw shrimp tail skin in side salad (didn’t notice til almost end since it was buried), the shrimp enchilada had literally nothing in it at all - just extremely dry clearly left over shrimp, the waitress asked what kind of tortilla I wanted for the enchilada and instead of giving me flour gave me corn.Extremely disappointing.
Beans were great. Service sucked and i think the we complained to is the manager and he was very rude. Agua chile does not take 1.5 hours to cook in lime. He told us that it takes that long and would not issue a refund. The shrimp was not cooked. We were not going to eat it and get sick. We get this dish in rosarito all the time and its always ready when its brought to you.
Hector's is a fantastic restaurant. Been there only twice. Delicious shrimp tacos scallop tacos ceviche everything so far I've ever had. Very friendly service. Quiet atmosphere. I live close so I'll be going there frequently.
