Since 1964, Family House Of Pancakes is a great place to have breakfast, is clean, the workers were polite, the wait was for about 10 minutes which is good considering it was crowded. Fair prices for what you get, we were four people and the total was about 70 bucks, the food was good, would definitely recommend.
Super busy and it doesn't impact the quality of service at all. People are super friendly, it's packed and the vibe is awesome, very mom&pop. The portions are humongous - in our group we tried The chorizo breakfast, pancakes, and garden scramble, side of hask browns and fresh fruit and we all loved everything. ?❤️
Service was warm and friendly. Although ordered takeout, the food was filling and great. There was a long wait time, but that's because restaurant was pretty busy. Definitely coming back
Best pancake ever! The salsa is fire and the eggs are cooked perfectly. Haven’t had that great of a breakfast in awhile. I kept it simple but I bet the specialty pancakes, crepes and waffles are just as good from the aroma. SO GOOD!
This place should consider renaming itself House of Pancake Family or perhaps the Family of House-sized Pancakes...? Lots of options and huge portions will ensure you won't leave wanting more.
Monday morning, 80% full, WHY ? The one on 8th Ave closed its doors ?! Like always, family oriented, full crew, refills, and all the fixings ?. No crepes for me this time, you try them they are yummy.
Went for breakfast this morning. We got there around late 9 o'clock there was already a line at the door of people waiting for tables to open up. The wait was only 15 minutes though. Lucky for us we got seats at the counter right away. We ordered fairly quickly and about 5 minutes later we had our food. Everything was super fresh and delicious. The portions were generous and definitely worth the price. Lastly and more importantly the service was superb. Highly recommend family house of pancakes for the much needed weekend breakfast with loved ones.
The breakfast was delicious, good prices, the restaurant is very clean, excellent service, food is served very fast, BUT non of the workers were wearing masks!!!
Going there for the BEST Breakfast ,LOVE, their bk potatoes deep fried !!! On my medium Rib Rye steak 3 sunny up and biscuit with lots of butter n honey! Dont forget a deep fried serrano pepper!
This was our second time here, first time at their original spot was a way better experience. The food was good, unfortunately the server was just okay. I assume she had good intentions, but that messed our order. Long story short we ended up with 1 piece of French Toast, instead of a full order, when I brought it to the server's attention she appeared bothered and although she "fixed it" we never got what we ordered. I will be back, hopefully we'll have a better experience since I plan to make this my go to when I'm in San Diego.
