April 10th Sunday 1:30p/1:45p visited El Sabor de la Baja restaurant (625 H st)I ordered over the phone 2 items (Torre n ceviche de pescado). I picked up my food in 2 plastic bags in good faith that my order was correct. I gave a tip also even though I didn’t dine in restaurant. Supporting local businesses.When arrived home opened my food n I received shrimp ceviche??? Torre order was correct. I called to let them know I received wrong shrimp ceviche instead of pescado ceviche. I spoke with Monica which didn’t want to give me her name because she said it wasn’t her fault on wrong order placed in bag. Monica mentioned since ordered was paid already she can’t do anything about refund. She also mentioned that no managers work on Sunday’s which seems odd. Sundays are busy n why wouldn’t a supervisor or manger work? Monica mentioned to call back next day n talk to a manager after 3pm? Here is a photo of shrimp ceviche that I did not order. I ordered pescado ceviche. First n last time I visit this restaurant.
This place was really good with all food and seafood options available. Super busy place and now we know why. We had the fish tacos- awesome, surf & turf taco - really good, and finally the tiger shrimp ceviche and that did not disappoint. Highly recommended and encouraged.
This may be one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants I have ever been in. Very simple and very delicious. Service was great and quick, with plenty of delicious food. Price was surprisingly low. They do not skimp on anything. We were very satisfied.
Recommended by a friend, stopped by on my way back from TJ and loved it. Food was great! Definitely got my bang for my Buck. Waitress Andrea was super friendly and took care of us. This will be a usual stop in for each time I’m back in San Diego.
Our fish fry dinner was delicious! The crispy tilapia goes great with rice, beans, and salad. ? We are definitely coming back to eat!
Terrible customer service, the way waitresses yell at customers and carry a full on argument taking it all the way to parking lot, which makes a dining experience very unpleasant and so unprofessional. Waitresses have a hard time paying attention to detail, and demand a high percentage tip.
Over priced, seafood was pretty good. We ordered chips with guacamole and chips came out of a mission tortilla bag we actually saw them use it and avocados in guacamole were not ripe. Also got chicken rolled tacos for kids and the chicken was gross, no clean meat at all! Didn't eat any of them. Service is bad and they pretty much ignoreyou. Came here a few times over a year ago and it was so good not sure what happened. Unfortunately will not be going back.
Just one thing to consider on the fryer they keep little to long but any thing else super good and nice customer service my helpers they like this place
