The Spunky Steer is a hidden jem sitting in a shopping mall between a paint shop and a dollar store.You'll find no windows at this local steakhouse, but once you step inside, you won't give it a second thought.Although it may seem small, there's adequate seating. The menu isn't overly complicated, and while they may have fish tacos and chicken burgers, the focus is on the "steer".Food was served hot, prices are fair, and the staff is friendly. If you want a simple and unpretentious steak, you can't go wrong here.One thing to note, if you have a large party (8 or more), it does take longer to serve everyone. This is not a complaint, just an observation.
My wife and I both had country fried steak with salad and baked potato. Her food was a little on the cool side but they sent it back and made it right. The manager in charge checked back with us and he was super friendly as was our waitress. The place was packed but we were seated within 5 minutes and we were served promptly. Glad they're open once again after a long shutdown.
My wife has been telling me how great this place was for years. We were finally able to go. It was as good as she said it would be. When we arrived we were promptly seated. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful. All of the staff was happy and made us feel very comfortable. When our food arrived it was delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection. The side dishes were perfict. All of the restaurant was very clean, tables, floors even the restrooms. We had a great experience. We will be back again when we are in the area.

Menu is nice and simple. steak and chicken is what i normally get with baked potato and it is good

I have been coming here for the past 10 years. Today I came back with my family. Wife ordered a steak medium rare the steak came medium well. Told our server it was cooked wrong she took it to back. The manager Eric came back to our table with the steak in his hand and asked what was wrong with it. Embarrassed us in front of all the customers. After we ate I approach him in a low voice told him that was unprofessional and uncomfortable of him doing that . He responded with a loud voice to attract attention and yelling Get Out Get Out ! A young boy should not be a manager at a steak house like this !
First time visit. It was okay. Steak was a overcooked from what was requested. Considering there are no windows the place is well designed and kept bright inside.

it was delicious and after 2 years it was a delight to finally treat my cravings. Updated , renovated. prices went up but it was worth it.
