GREAT FOOD GREAT PEOPLEMe and my girlfriend were deciding on a place to eat for our 11 year anniversary and we stumbled Across this place and let me tell you! This place is awesome! 10/10 recommend! The food was amazing, we ordered the a5 Japanese wagyu and pork belly, both cuts were very fresh and great quality. We had also got the volcano roll and Japanese fried chicken which were amazing! Probably our favorite part of the night was when the lady (which I assume was the owner) greeted us and asked how we were doing and just talked to us, she made us feel welcomed/at home, owners like that go a long way. Will be back soon!
Overall it is good. Too much sauce lol but still like it
If you're in LA and craving for hotpot with fresh meats, veg and seafoods with your family and friends, Shabu Wara is definitely worth dining at. My family and I had the sukiyaki and tomyam broth with seafood, lamb and beef as proteins and rice. In winter, the hotpot HIT THE SPOT. Fresh meats, flavourful broth, generous cuts of fresh vegetables. Staff were all professional and prompt in ensuring diners are having a wonderful experience. This is a great social event for dining or if you're just a foodie! Totally worth checking out.
I would leave zero stars if it was possible! The broth absolutely sucked and the service was horrible! The bathroom was absolutely disgusting and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months!!!

BRING YOUR OWN SALT! or seasoning for that matter… the broth was soooo bland, it was not good! The only reason for the 3rd star is because of the service! Our waitress was soo nice, helpful and was able to answer all our questions. To start we ordered a pitcher of Sapporo and an appetizer of Spicy Tuna over crispy rice. Which is the one food item I do recommend! My friend does NOT eat raw seafood but said he couldn’t even taste the fish! He really liked it as well! And for dinner we had the spicy tonkotsu broth and forgot which protein we ordered! But either way I DO NOT recommend the hot pot as it was flavorless and very disappointing! We will not be back unfortunately. We have yet to find OUR spot for hotpot!
Sesame dipping sauce and meat was sub par. Expensive. Had higher expectations.
First time having shabu shabu, nice place for a first time. Food was tasty, but a bit pricy. Didn't look at the price rating, but I suppose it was fair. Owners are kind and sunday night sports on the TV's is always a plus.
Delicious and really meat experience. A little pricey. Paid around 130 for three people, but it being our first time was worth the experience. The proteins we chose were delicious as well as the broths. Plenty to choose from. Staff was very attentive and made sure you were enjoying your time there. Highly recommend for those seeking a new food experience.
