Love this place! People talk about voodoo donuts and Lee's donuts... I've had them both, but painted dough is better! Great people work there too ?
This was the spot to go when their prices werent as inflated as they're now. Ever since they went mainstream it appears that they turned their back on the community who supporter them for years for instagram popularity unfortunately. The Donuts are great don't get me wrong but not a fan of the new price hike.
Regular donuts, fancy donuts, ice cream, coffee, smoothies, and more here! The display cases are packed full of sweet and tasty treats all reasonably priced. The employees were super helpful and service was quick. The donuts are so fluffy and not oily at all! Glaze and flavorings are in point! I would definitely be a regular if I didn't live so far away!
I'm not a fan of specialized donuts. I only went there because my wife wanted one that had snickers mixed into it. As for the cost of the regular donuts I find it to be on the expensive side. But to each there own. I will go back to this place only for specialized donuts.
The best donuts ? hands down. The customer service is phenomenal. And they even gave my daughter a Easter egg since we went on Easter ?

I’m not sure where to begin. How about:1. Best Apple Fritter, ever. It takes a real skill to make a light, tasty, perfectly proportioned fritter. I know a place in Newport Beach that does a great AF, but this is even better.2. Vietnamese cream? Lovely.3. Dark purple Ube—delicious.4. Red Velvet. Good.5. Blueberry. Very satisfying.6. Light purple Taro. So good.My wife and I took bites of each one. She was delightfully surprised that each donut had its own texture and flavor.I saw this shop online. Great pictures. So I drove 15-miles to get there. I’ll be back bc there’s at least a dozen more donuts I want to try.
Today was the first time to Painted dough ,I would always pass by but never stopped...I'm so glad I did this time,the donuts were absolutely delicious! So many times you go to donut shops and you can taste the oil but not here and there are so many donuts to choose from, traditional and specialty donuts, they even make smoothies, serve ice cream and acai bowls . The owner Kim gave us a free donut ? that was very nice of him. He was extremely friendly and pleasant. Will come back for sure!!
