I traveled to Culiacan a few years back and I have always been chasing that marisco taste and flavor. I can say I have finally found it at Rafa's. The mixture if lime and shrimp base broth gives that unique flavor that is unmatched. To top it off they use quality marisco unlike so many of the so called marisco restaurants around.
Delicious food speciality the ? cocktailsCallo pulpo Camaron
best micheladas ever and the tostada mitotera the best the ostiones preparados is a must try
Good food. Reasonable prices.
The shrimp cocktail wasn't that great for such cost. Needs better flavor, although shrimps are good size. 13.00 for a medium size
First time here got my haircut and Luz a wonderful job she cuts it all the time
Good pace. Good food. But they need to add a homemade salsa to their dishes to make them even better.
Their mariscos are great you need to try la mitotera is a tostads
everything was SO BOMB!!!!!! the micheladas were on point! the service was kind of slow and the other servers that walked by would completely ignore us so be sure to remember to ask for everything in one go lol
So for the most part I LIKED this place but after what happened on Father’s Day we won’t be going here anymore. My son ordered the camarones empañisados ( crispy shrimp) as soon as I saw the plate I knew something was off. I took a bite to make sure they were fully cooked they weren’t. By the time I told my son not to eat them he had already ate two an he ran to the restroom to throw up. I asked the waitress why do they look like this it doesn’t look like all the other crispy shrimp an she said we don’t cook them in house there frozen?!? How are you gonna sell crispy shrimp an try an fry them when there fully frozen. To top it off the batter was not fully cooked my son didn’t eat anything an left feeling sick.
