My food looks fake. I assure you it was not. So good! Great service and great meals. The pot roast was so good definitely recommend! It’s on the smaller dinner portion of their menu. I ordered this at 11am on a Sunday. My husband enjoyed a burger that was also so delicious! Very homey feel to the restaurant and staff. Definitely will be returning!
I haven't been to this restaurant in awhile, it's still a good place to eat. I had the turkey club with fries it was excellent. Service was great our server was on it! 8 of us and he went above and beyond to make sure we got everything we needed. We will definitely be back! So if you're in the area stop by and give them a try. You won't be disappointed. Till next time, happy eating everyone!
This was my first time eating here. I ordered the tri tip dip. My son ordered the grizzley breakfast. Everything was soooooo good. I had a house salad with blue cheese dressing. And it was amazing. I ate everything.. so my son ordered 4 more tri tip dips to take home to have for dinner..My only issue, there isn't a black bear diner near me in Riverside..
We have been to this location many times over the last few years and most of the time, the food and service is good. Most of the time. I met my friend for lunch here the other day and we were both very disappointed. Our waitress wasn't very attentive. She took our orders and brought us water. My coffee cup sat empty. Our food was brought to us by someone else. My BLT was dry, the bacon tasted old, the lettuce was wilted, and the tomato slice was thin and small. The fries weren't even warm. My friend ordered a Patti Melt and when hers was brought, she immediately commented that it was NOT a Patti Melt, but she started eating it anyway. Halfway thru our meal, another waitress came and said she brought the wrong sandwich and that she was bringing the right Patti Melt. She ended up giving the correct Patti Melt to my friend. I ordered a Club Sandwich with fries to take home to hubs. It was dry, wilted lettuce, not enough cheese to be on all the sandwich slices, and the fries were cold. My friend and I were disappointed with the service and the food. I love Black Bear Diner and hate to see reviews like this but this visit wasn't very good.
Get a better kitchen staff that knows that food shouldn't be luke warm to cold when a paying customer has waited for almost a hour to get their food. A person that knows the difference between medium well and so rare that it looks like it was taken off the cow that same day. When you have to spend almost three hours from the time you get there until the time you can't wait to get the hell out of there....management in this establishment has a problem. Thank God in n out and Tommy's burgers were down the street. Very Very doubtful that I will be back to this place. Maybe the other locations will treat their customers better.
The food was Great and the service was 8 out of 10 just due to the fact that it took flagging down our Waiter for Refills other then that, this is Definitely a place to come back to. I also enjoyed buying some of the Stuff in their Gift Section ? ☺

Had a great home style breakfast and the portions are large. Very attentive waitress and great ambiance. Love coming to the Black Bear Diner.
