I went to this place on a Saturday night and I have to say the service was not the best at all. I sat down and behind me by about ten minutes a party of 10 sat down. That table was served drinks before I was, their food was served, and they paid and left before my main course was even served. The meat I was brought was over cooked, I guess they don’t know what medium rare is supposed to look like, and I was basically feed a piece of meat that looked well done. Super tough to eat, the beer was good, and that’s only because they don’t make it. Over priced and not really the type of place for a steak I would recommend. Service was slow, unless you’re a party of ten, and the manger after I complained brought me another piece of meat, and that one looked worse than the first one. The picture tells it all.
Wood Ranch Chino Hills pretty much checks all the boxes. Their entrees are consistently delicious and well-prepared, the choice of sides is well-above average (we love their peanut coleslaw), and the servers are very friendly. But what might stand out the most is the subdued lighting, comfortable booths, and relatively quiet background music, all of which contribute to a very relaxing and inviting ambiance. Oh, and another plus is there's plenty of parking.
Terrible customer service. Read the other reviews, the reoccurring theme is poor customer service. I placed an online order at noon for a 3:15 pickup, arrived at 3:00, by 3:25 I still had not received service. I went inside, after they found my order they told me they were out of dessert! What kind of restaurant, especially at these prices, runs out of dessert before 3:00 in the afternoon? How many customers, besides me, dropped $$$ on dinner only to find out they “ran out of dessert”? What a disappointment, not to mention what a terrible way to run a restaurant. I said I wanted my money back, all the manager on duty could say was sorry. How lame. I went home and wrote a complaint on the Wood Ranch webpage. By the end of the following day, I still had not received a reply to my complaint, so I wrote a message directly to the corporate executives. I received a reply from CEO Eric Anders that said he saw my original complaint right after I sent it, but then just forwarded it on to another manager that was off for a couple of days! This is what Wood Ranch believes is customer service? What kind of CEO cares so little that he didn’t pick up the phone, call the restaurant, and find out WHY they were out of dessert. On that same phone call, he should have instructed the manager to call me back and make things right. The problem would have been fixed. But he didn’t. How many customers that day spent money on dinner, only to find out they ran out of dessert in the afternoon, and the CEO knew about it and did NOTHING to correct it? It appears that the poor customer service at Wood Ranch begins at the top! In these days of runaway inflation and $6 gas, choose wisely where you spend your hard earned money. For the prices Wood Ranch charges customers should receive impeccable customer service, but clearly that is not the case here. Don’t waste your money here.
I met a friend for dinner midweek. The restaurant was busy, but the booths are comfortable and widely spaced, so I felt quite comfortable. I ordered the tri-tip, medium and it was deliciously cooked. I also ordered a glass of Justin Cabernet Sauvignon, which pared well with the tri-tip. Glad I got the 9oz because it was just the right amount. One small hiccup was that I did not get the grilled asparagus I ordered, but the server quickly remedied the situation. She took the asparagus off the bill and even removed my friends charge for a side as well to make up for the inconvenience. Thank you for a delicious dinner. Wish I had gotten her name!
Love the easy curbside pickup and the delicious beef ribs. The Take out specials are good deals.
This is your standard steakhouse with all the fixings. Our range of dishes included a tri-tip salad, tri-tip sandwich, grilled salmon, and BBQ chicken w/sauce on the side. All we're cooked to order and served hot.Portions are a bit on the bigger side, but may suit your needs if you arrive with a hearty appetite and you don't fill up on the bread.Prices ranged between $15 to $25, but can creep up if you order more than one side dish. The staff was friendly and accommodating as well.
Happy anniversary ? had a early dinner and cocktails. Everyone so nice, short wait of 10 minutes, great service by all on staff ?? ?? ?
The service was exquisite.Amy was so a tentative and helpful. Highly recommend.
Service was excellent, the bartender and waitress were on top of everything . Food was cooked to perfection, and don't miss out on those free rolls, they are delicious
Went there before pandemic food was excellent. But after the food has been down graded. Beans taste like pork and beans in the can. Mac and cheese box mac for kids. The ribs and chicken salty and the asparagus tasted like charcoal lighter. It was horrible very disappointed cause food normally good. Maybe new cook training that day. Hope they get better
