Upon seating, several things were clear. They expect you to order shabu, staff are poorly trained if at all, they don’t do sushi. It is unfortunate that I have to give such a review because our waitress was kind, sweet, and working to the best of her ability. They don’t have physical menus, only QR Code menu, which, if you’re going to operate in this way, at least have Wi-Fi available because the restaurant sits in a dead zone. It took close to 10 minutes before finally we had to stop someone passing by to ask for waters, utensils, and napkins. Another 10 minutes passed before we were ready to order only to find that the QR code on the table was for the now concluded happy hour menu, but that they would honor it after making us wait. Since shabu AYCE is priced at 38$ per person, we decided to order 4 appetizers and 4 sushi rolls. We received the chicken karaage rather quickly and it was delicious, but this was for my 3 yr old so none of us really ate that one. We wouldn’t receive another plate of food for about 20 minutes and it was the crunchy roll which was also delicious. Another 20 or so minutes, well after we had finished eating the previous roll, and we received the seared salmon roll. Also delicious. Another 15 minutes pass and at this point my father in law is quite hangry so he asks the waitress why we’re receiving items so slowly and one at a time and she tells us they only have one sushi chef. We finally receive the margarita roll (quite delicious but not really sushi) and we decided to pay for what we had already received and go find dessert. It turns out that eating small portions over a great amount of time (and a lot of water) fills you up. We left early about 1 hour and 45 minutes into the meal and had only received 3 of 4 sushi rolls and 1 of 4 appetizers.Overall it seems like they have great potential if the owners would take this seriously and spend some time training their staff on basic waitressing, and either hire another sushi chef or don’t offer sushi at all. Like I said the food was delicious but the service was just absolutely so embarrassing.
They are REOPENED!! now with ACYE Shabu Shabu! Beside the proteins..they also offer AYCE appetizers, veggies and other items. Sooo yummy! Service was a little slow but totally understandable. Just so happy they fought through the pandemic and reopened.Everyone please be nice when leaving a review..I am sure the owners working extremely hard and doing their best to resume business. Give them some time to build it back up
The spot is wonderful and spacious, the meals was enchanting and the rates were very reasonable. quickly, effective service and very amiable waiters. I recommend this place.
Ordered on grubhub. Delivery person never showed up. Pretty sure this was an employee of theirs. I'd love to be able to comment on their food but instead I'm left an hour later and hungry. I'd give 0 stars if possible.
We Love Love this place!!!! Our children loves this place, our Family from OC LOVES THIS PLACE.Delicious food, good selection of soup, sushi, combo plates are amazing prices. Great Service too!
The vibe in the music is always a great Eddie the owner caters every customer that walks through the door like everyone his friend the food is Mega fresh and tasty always on point
I didn't get around to writing this review until now eight months later, but here we go.Our group of six people for a birthday dinner came into the restaurant and there was only one other small party so it was rather empty and slow. The service was good at first with a friendly male server for the first 15 minutes, but then he kind of just disappeared for the rest of our meal. I had to flag down other employees who were walking past our table multiple times to get napkins, water, and basic table service.I don't write too many negative reviews, but this experience even now, almost a year later, still stands out in my mind. Management at this restaurant needs to better train their employees.The food portions we received were rather very small, and the pricing was on the higher end. We definitely didn't get a great amount of food for how much we paid, which was about $25 per person for the hot pot special and it's not even bottomless! I ordered a vegetarian dish and I only got what I recall as four small/medium pieces of tofu in it.We definitely won't be coming back again. Disappointed!
We arrived at this spot for a meeting. we heard about this spot from many people. Well, it was a winning. The staff were extremely nice and we had a great feeling. The food was just great. We loved this restaurant a lot and we will visit this place again. We recommend this place to all.
Great service, excellent food. Amazing flavors. Saturday happy hour is to die for. Favorite date spot, hidden gem. Great music and spirits.
