They treat guests here based on how much money they think they can make off you. So if you look like you have a lot of cash on you, they will be nice. If you look young they won’t offer you drinks and will give off a rude attitude. Not good business for a bar.
This place is hands down best food that you will find at any bar in Chico. They use quality ingredients and have a great menu that is simple. The menu options are all delicious, and the cooks that work here seem to have a culture amongst themselves. If you are traveling through and visiting downtown, you owe it to yourself to drop by this establishment and try them out.
Such a fun place to hang out. We always run into people we know. The outdoor seating is perfect for the dogs. Friendly service and amazing food.
This was my second time at a bar with my husband. We ordered two drinks, and the bartender told us he was going to keep our card. I didn’t think anything of it at first. But as time went on we noticed that people our age (21-23) came in, and they let them keep their cards. We were the only couple who had to have our card kept at the front. It was very awkward because the bartenders were rude about it and were serving everyone around us. We were originally going to spend over $100 and tip heavy, but kept it to $20. Ended up going to the Taphouse and Madison Bear and having a more pleasant experience.
Great burgers! Friendly crowd...a must if you want a great meal w/a good atmosphere.
The Banshee is a really classy place with really great food and drinks. Good for a refreshing lunch, or dinner. I recommend the Mac and Cheese, the Pho, or the Fish and Chips.
If you want to get cocktails and beers in a pub setting in Chico but don't want to experience the rowdy party-atmosphere in so many of the other bars, this is the place. This place is more for the graduate students in compared to the undergrads, to use a fitting college-analogy. The food is excellent and I always had a great time here getting beers with friends. This was my go-to when I lived in Chico.
I ordered Two pork tacos without mayo spice sauce they had to take them back twice to make without sauce, the pork tasted as if it had water. Suggestion carnitas would be better for this dish. My husband ordered the Philly sandwich and it took a long time. Their fries were great and the dining area comfortable and nice.
