It can be good at times but the tritip tends to be overcooked and tougher to chew then I like. Should be pinker and juicier, but feels like dry jerky sometimes. They should also give slightly more fries, always feels a little low. The smoked chicken and ribs are decent but the same issue, its so inconsitent that I think they mean to serve it like this.
Friendly staff. Not worth visiting for food. Beer and whatever sport you want to watch? Go for it - they had a baseball game, a basketball game, a football game, and something else on. It wasn't the worst BBQ I've had, but it wasn't worth what I paid for. No utensils provided, no bun for the pulled pork. Plenty of grease included with the pulled pork - to the point where it's difficult to tell the flavor of the sauce. Napkins not included, so the grease will leave a lovely trail down to your elbow. The ribs were fall off the bone but not tender. I applaud the feat, that's not one I've ever managed. Don't even bother with the fries; you're better off buying frozen and baking them yourself at home. Sadly disappointed, I was looking forward to good (or at least decent) BBQ.
Stopped in for a beer and a quick bite. Garlic fries and corn biscuits really hit the spot. Great atmosphere and friendly service.

Been coming here since high school (2016) and always loved their chicken strips/fries for a quick bite. Super tasty.They upped up the prices and amount of fries but gave three little chicken strips with more breading this time. I don't want to pay $7.50 for fries with a side of chicken. :/(I understand the price of chicken has gone up recently so I'll give them that)

We ordered a BBQ sampler plate. It was dad that my favorite part was the muffin with honey cinnamon butter. The service was ok the though was just alright and a bit overpriced for the quality and quantity. The garlic fries were oddly wet and had almost a citrus flavor. They stuck together like a clump of wet fries. This was the second time I had been there, I wasn't a fan 3 years ago and my most recent visit confirmed the same.
Amazing food! If you are craving some good bbq I definitely suggest giving this place a try. Im happy I found this place and can't wait to go back!
We are very longtime customers of Smokin' Mo's. Just wanted to say, that tonights meal (8/15/21) was excellent. The ribs were perfectly cooked and properly slathered with your sauces. Thank you for consistently bringing the best ribs in Chico!
Tried and true, awesome BBQ! Micheal is awesome too! Root beer float, got my vote. Prices are great, show some love don't hate.
