GenKai is always my go to place. I love their extensive sushi picture book. I know exactly what’s in the rolls and what it looks like. No surprises. New to eating sushi and that picture book helps a lot. Won’t order without that book. There’s around 70+ specialties in the picture book and I am attempting to try them all, especially being able to order half the rolls on happy hour. Highly recommended!
Genkai have ah-mazing sushi/food. The staff are super friendly. Great food and. beautiful atmosphere. I highly recommend Genaki! plus, did you know they have a great selection on their BAR!
Great service and excellent tasting food.
The sushi here is surprisingly very tasty and elegant for such a fair price. The atmosphere is fun and urban with a choice to sit inside or on their patio. An overlooked appetizer is the mushroom tempura which I highly recommend for any vegetarians out there! Great service.
Very good food I got the Teriyaki chicken and it was very good, my wife and kid got sushi and it was all very good and fresh. The staff was also very helpful and nice
Got the Orange Blossom it was on point. Delivered by doordash. I would definitely order from them again.
My family and I have been here many times. Food and atmosphere everything is great! The waitress we recently had thou. I would just say you could easily tell she didn't want to be here. I don't need a new friend or anything but a little personality from your servers goes a long way.
Their dressing and their spicy tuna rolls... OMG so good! I always have to stop here on my Chico trips.
We recently celebrated a friends birthday at Genkai and had a most enjoyable experience. Our server was kind and helpful. There are so many sushi and entre options that making a decision can take some time. Though we had a party of 10 (and most of us ordered 2 to 3 rolls each) the food was delivered rather quickly. The fish was fresh and the rolls beautiful. They also have a full bar a decent selection of wines and beers on tap. My wife really enjoyed her Ramen with breaded pork dish. Nice work Genkai staff! We will be back!
