While this used to be our go to bar we’ll have to find another place, one that doesn’t discriminate against trans people. My friend was told they had to use the other bathroom after the bouncer very loudly outed them to us. Not only is that incredibly rude but outing a person in public can be dangerous. Won’t be going back.
The bar food was actually good But if you're really looking for a good time this is the place to go lots of pool tables, games, music, Drinks and fun 21 and up after 9pm I believe.
Down Lo I feel is the best billiards hall in Chico. I've never had a problem getting a table and the bartenders have anyways been cool. The tables are getting pretty run down though and need to be resurfaced, pockets fixed, new bumpers, new balls, etc... I know that's not cheap though. Their pool sticks are not the greatest and I recommend bringing your own if you have one. But they work fine for casual players. They do serve food and it's good bar food, especially the fries. It's not like a sit down diner type place, more of a bar atmosphere. They do have a wide selection of drinks, with a few good beers on tap.

It's a dive but it's awesome fun! Lovely bartenders and terrible karaoke, the drinks are strong so you hardly notice the karaoke situation lol
Typical bar food, nice atmosphere, cool people. Would recommend for a game of billiards. Ordered fried PB and J.... amazing! Will come back for that burger with the fried mozzarella sticks and egg.

Amazing place! Great food friendly staff and reasonable prices. I love going to the down Lo because it's that last bar I. Down town that is not so loud and they have respectable pool tables.
I play pool here often. Tables could be maintained better but that's pricey... not the best of anything but good for lots of things. Hopefully a tournament will be in the works soon here. Monday sound good?
The DownLo is, hands down, my favorite and the BEST BAR IN CHICO !! Being a good bar is about the atmosphere and the service you get, and everyone at the DownLo is really cool and they provide great service. I dont know how "Rileys" was voted the "#1 College Bar," because Rileys S**** A** compared to the DownLo. They play decent music, have DJs and other live music, and I'm glad they reopened so I can go there when I want to go hang out and kick back.
