I have had many mediocre Thai food experiences and sadly Cocodine, in Chico is now at the very top of the stack of Thai places I would never willingly eat at again.The chicken satay was overcooked, rubbery, and the piece of meat on the little wooden skewer was the smallest I have yet to see. Our Hot and Sour soup was…hot, I guess that is something. It was also lacking flavor and perhaps some key ingredients? Onthe positive side the beer was very cold and the staff were polite and attentive. My husband suggested that the regular chef and his sous chef had been in a terrible accident or kidnapped right before dinner service started and rather than close the crew decided to soilder on without them. We are praying for a speedy recovery or return of the real cook to the kitchen.
Awesome palace to eat! Love their pad Thai, lao style papaya salad and Thai tea.
The food was amazing, but the curry had more onions then chicken. Only reason for 4/5
Have been going to Cocodine Restaurant for years for casual meals, easy pickup during Covid closures, many family events...and will into the future.
It was HOPPIN! But we didn't have to wait for a table and the food came super quick. It was delicious and just the right amount of spice. Thai ice tea was pretty tasty as well. Wish I could eat here more often because it was super yummy!
Food was great and service was attentive!We had the bbq chicken and bbq pork and split the pad Thai. Mango rice for dessert. All was tasty & flavorful.
My first experience here. For some time, friends have been telling me this is the best Thai restaurant in Northern California. But will all the closures and the problems all restaurants are having keeping staffed enough to stay open reasonable hours, they have always been closed each time I tried to eat here. So do call ahead to make sure they are open. Still, absolutely worth it. Also makes a great date place. Good service-----but amazingly wonderful food!!! Don't miss this experience.
My first Thai dining experience. I was nervous about spicy. I do like spicy but not crazy spicy. I went with the yellow curry, not spicy but warm, amazing flavor though. Next time I'm trying the green.
The green curry was gross. Watered down and had a off putting taste. The yellow curry was less gross they sprinkled something over the top that created a mosh pit of gravyish slop. Won’t be back again. Would avoid this place. Just being honest. Service was good.
