Everything here is amazing. I ate here for years multiple times per week before I moved to Washington. I have Celiac disease and someone told me that Beatniks had tons of gluten free options. Indeed they do! All their gluten free items, and believe me I tried them all, are amazing. In my opinion, Beatniks is the best breakfast and lunch place in all of Chico. Also, the Mike's (there are 2!) and Jamie are so friendly and make you feel like family. I really miss the people and wonderful food.
If you are looking for an excellent breakfast in a comfortable setting, this is the place to go. Beatniks has an variety of tasty options for you to choose from and you can add your favorite latte or coffee, and more, to your order. You can also choose between 2 spacious indoor seating areas, or an outdoor setting. A friendly, efficient staff rounds out a pleasurable visit to this establishment. It's on our favorite list!
They do have some good food here. Their espresso drinks are decent. The prices aren't exactly cheap. I would say it's pretty average that breakfast and drinks for 1 would be at least $20. I've been in this business many many times, and I've experienced a few times where I felt that the management was not very friendly or thoughtful.
Although the food here is amazing, the service here is very bad and the past 3 times I’ve been here with my girlfriend we have been greeted with a different rude girl behind the counter each time. It seems like all of them hate to be there at that time and it really reflects to the customers. I was going to go back but remembered these experiences and it has pushed me away from returning. The staff should be trained on how to talk to customers kindly or get new staff that can not be so rude
I would order their gluten free French toast even if I wasn’t gf! Much better than conventional!!!
A nice find in Chico. Huge breakfast selection. Lunch more limited menu. Had Cobb Salad. Was very well made, at $16+.
Very disappointed in my lunch. Evidently menu has changed and I use to order the best turkey sandwich "The Tuscan" which is no longer available, as my server said they have a new menu. I got a Turkey sandwich on stale bread with no mayo, mustard and only tomato and lettuce for $15. I don't know what happened to their yummy food but I will not return.
I had the best breakfast at Beatniks today, and I’m a harsh critic, Ive owned a breakfast and lunch Restaurant in Redding for 28 years, food and service was as good as it gets????
Really nice patio.1. Polenta Benedict was delicious. It was also served with tasty carrot cake.2. Vegan burrito was tasty3. Coffee cake was amazing. We got few to go after breakfast.4. Latte coffee was very well done.5. Banana bread was probably old so that didn't taste as amazing as other items in the breakfast.Service was great too. ?
