Super slow service. I know it's tapas style but that doesn't give you an excuse to take 3-4hrs for everything to come out.
Seriously delicious. We had 3 people and shared 5 plates. Every dish was amazing even though the head chef wasn't there his crew still delivered flawlessly. Must try!
Loved the vibe of the place. Friendly and attentive staff. Food was awesome. All in all had a great dinner here.
Another hidden gem in Cerritos-Artesia area for fusion cuisine especially considering the fact that it a concept restaurant by a qualified chef. A great selection of Vegetarian and Meat tapas plates. We always order their risotto and roasted vegetables. The tapas selections are adequate and spread over. There is definitely a Japanese influence but not overpowering the European twist. Never disappointed. Very friendly service and kept clean. A five star ? experience.
This has to be the best restaurant in Cerritos in my opinion. Friendly service and scrumptious food. Japanese fusion but not pretentious. I've been here twice and enjoyed all dishes tremendously. Hamachi crudo, scallop crudo, grilled steak, pork belly, seafood risotto, creme brulee, bread pudding... All amazing!
This place is one of me and my partners favorite restaurants. Delicious food, great service and ambience. They are usually packed so I suggest calling before going.
Went on a spontaneous Saturday night date here and glad I did. My wife & I chose to sit at the bar. The kitchen is just on the other side of the bar, so I really enjoyed watching the chefs cook & communicating to each other about coordinating dishes. More restaurants need a kitchen that the customers can see, as this is part of the customer service experience. We ordered:- Roasted Root Vegetables & Cauliflower: A very refreshing salad. No expensive ingredients but just as satisfying.- Tri-Citrus Roasted Beets: Beautiful presentation & also refreshing. My favorite dish.- Yellowtail Crudo: Good but didn’t stand out from similar dishes from other restaurants.- Thai Seafood Risotto: Loved the sauce & the big seafood!- Snickerdoodle crème brûlée: the crispy sugar on top really made it. Not too sweet. What made the dishes great were that the flavors in each dish really complemented each other. It was sophisticated and not just salty. Also, plating, cutlery, and glassware felt well thought of.It was cute when the executive chef’s mother was helping around in her Christmas sweater. I am glad we stumbled upon this place and am looking forward to coming back, sharing what we love with friends and family.
This is a fun and refreshing fusion mix of European Japanese food. We ordered the Sea Bream crudo, Tri-Citrus beet salad, beef carpaccio, arugula pear burrata salad, and tomato basil risotto. We finished everything!! Also got sake. So cute they have a selection of shot glasses we can hand select from for the sake. Our food came out really fast. We were told it will be paced out but they came quicker than we could eat and enjoy each dish individually. It felt slightly rushed especially when we were only 1 of 2 parties there at the time then it got really busy in the next hour. Staff was nice and attentive for the most part until the place got full! Then we had to flag them down a couple times but it's okay. That's expected. The food! Tri-citrus beet salad had great balance and flavor. Anything beet usually is. I didn't know so many places try to make this arugula pear burrata salad dish. I've now seen and tried it at a handful of places. I have to say this place had the freshest burrata which made it stand out more than others. The pears were big. Would have been nicer if each piece was half the size it was.The beef carpaccio was decent but I wouldn't get it again. It is not what you would expect. I expected a raw beef like how beef carpaccio usually is but this was a smoked beef. It was topped with parmesano cheese which was pretty salty and on top of salty beef. It would have paired really well with the parmesano if the beef was raw! It was our fault for not reading the menu in detail. We would have seen that it was a different kind of beef.Risotto was light and easy to eat. We ordered the simplest variation. Not as heavy as it usually is at other restaurants. Although the risotto was pretty good and we finished it all, I will opt out of it on future visits. I prefer to keep dining light. Just enough to satisfy and leave you desiring a bit more. Most people usually order the yellowtail crudo but we saw the Sea Bream was new item and had limited quantities. Hello....must get! Yellowtail ain't going anywhere. The Sea Bream crudo was FANTASTIC. It was so good that even after finishing all these dishes, we placed another order of the Sea Bream which turns out was the last available order of the night!! I'm so so glad we got it!! What a fabulous ending to our meal.Noticed a trend in their dishes for this season. Arugula and burrata. More so on the arugula. I mean there was arugula in most of our dishes haha. It was the only fresh greens being used. We still delightfully enjoyed every dish but was just an observation. Can't wait until my next visit when they get through all their current ingredients and start making new dishes!
Four of us shared at least 6 items of the menu. Our favorites were the beets, beef, potatoes, and seafood risotto. Things we enjoyed but wouldn't order again we're the chicken wings and pork belly (sauce was good but a bit chewy). Still enjoyed everything and will be back.
Great dinner date as it is only open for dinner Wednesday-Sunday, reservations highly recommended on Friday-Sunday. We got lucky as walk in's on Sunday; we got there right as they were opening up. We had ran a half marathon earlier that day, got a massage afterwards and was feeling famished. I had a craving for risotto for quite some time. This is definitely my go to for the best risotto I have ever had so far; it's a Thai curry base with scallops and grilled shrimps. Everything we ordered was delicious with every bite. We also ordered the goat cheese mushroom fundido, pear and burrata salad, and sea bream crudo. We had a couple bottle of red wines which paired perfectly with every plate we shared. There was absolutely no leftovers. I am looking forward to ordering dinner at least once a week here before heading into work
