My daughter took my grand babies and I here for lunch. Service was good, food was good, and place was clean. Grands are 6 and 7, they loved the sushi and tempura veggies!

This place had me pick 30 minutes after eating it. I was literally vomiting. The sushi would’ve been perfect if it was fresh. On the bright side they sell sprite so that helped my upset stomach.

Some of the worst sushi I've eaten, in awhile. The quality of the fish is very poor and they definitely cover it up with a bunch of sauces, like Sriracha and ponzu. Even the cooked stuff is bad! For instance, the spam in the spam musubi was rubbery and over cooked.

Service was fantastic. There were signs all over asking for patience due to short staffing, but the employees were doing wonderfully. The reason for 4 & not 5 stars was the food. Everything looked fresh. But our table ordered multiple dishes with different prepared tuna items. All the tuna was chewy and pretty flavorless, aside from the seeded tuna, which tasted like it had been soaked in lemon, very sour. I was excited to see they had a temporary platter. It had squash, zucchini, shrimp, and bell pepper. Would have been perfect were it not for the overpowering lemony-salty seasoning the cooks had been far too generous with. Imagine having a 1/4th teaspoon of salt dumped on each piece. The acidity burns the mouth and even with scraping the seasoning off, much still clung to it. I asked for wasabi to try to drown out the salt at least. The tempera would have been perfect were it not for the over seasoning. The texture was perfect. I wish the taste could have not been drowned out. The little screen at our table we ordered on did not allow customization, to take seasoning off the top, for example. Also, many items we would tap on would not say ingredients. It was like Russian rullet trying to find ones with ingredient identifications, because a member of our group has allergies. Also, the screen did not always respond. Those were the low notes. High notes were the scallop and salmon. Both options were tender and flavorful, as desired. Food arrived quickly.Everyone at the table loved them. Again, service was excellent. Food was hit or miss, either very excellent or sadly disappointing.

I like this restaurant a lot great food, quality, prices, and service. Also kids will love it the train is so cool?

Stay away from this place. The girl working on Saturday night 1/29/22 is very rude. She made us wait 40 minutes to be seated. She finally sat us at 8:49pm. After seating us she anmounces to us that the kitchen will be closed at 9pm! How the frick are we going to eat in 10 minutes! She should of told us when we signed in!! Ugly girl did not even apologize. Instead her tone was condescending, impertinent, indifferent and unethical. I have never had this experience in any of the restaurants in the area. We normally dine in the nearby eateries due to their excellent customer service and warm and welcoming ambiance. This Magic Sushi Train place in Cerritos really jumped the bar. I also have a video of her horrible attitude. I will be spreading the word around. Really disappointed! I sent them a message regsrding my dissatisfaction and they do not reply but instead delete my messages. ZERO customer service.

If you want to try a few sushi selections to wet your sashimi appetite, this is the place but if you have starving families and friends with you, take them to an AYCE sushi place instead! The prices really add up quickly because you won’t be full/satisfied eating only a couple items. AYCE sushi is a better deal in my opinion, for the similar quality of sushi and sashimi, and nowadays, AYCE restaurants offer tonkatsu ramen and pretty much all items available here. One advantage here over AYCE is how fast you will receive your order through the conveyer belt when an AYCE can take some time. Limited selections on their daily 20% off items. We ended up waiting for 20 minutes on a Sunday afternoon because the restaurant was short-staffed. There were many open tables visible, but I guess not enough chefs working in the back(?), or they were working on their online queues as I’ve seen customers walking in to pick up their orders. I can’t comment on how high or average the quality of the raw fishes, but we all enjoyed the dishes and their presentations. 4.5 stars.

Everybody was very nice, specially Andrew, he made sure we had everything we needed. The food was deliver promptly and it was delish

A fun atmosphere for adults & children. Also the prices are very reasonable

We went over the weekend at around 3pm. I am not sure if this was a fluke but it left a bittersweet moment for my family and I when it was our first time coming here after seeing some clips of it on TikTok. The front staff was definitely nice and helpful. It wasn't busy at the time we went but we waited long to get our food. We were fine with ordering only 4 items at a time but not when we would only get one or two and then wait 7 minutes later for another item we had ordered from that same group order. Imagine having a little kid only being able to eat 4 pieces of sushi but having to wait in order to get more. We spent about 45 minutes here and most of the time was just waiting to get the food. Every thing pictured is all we had that whole time and we were tired of waiting for the food. If you're not into sweet, be careful with what you order. I think it is their eel sauce but something was constantly sweet tasting with our sushi. The rice was constantly falling apart when we were eating.
