Got seated and didn't even get menu books... too 20 mins to get drinks.. another 30 to get served.. and finally when we got served we didn't even get what we ordered. They threw random food on our table and they didn't seem to want to give us brisket which is something we were familiar with.. horrible experience because we didn't know what to order since we didn't have a menu to look at and it took them so long to give us napkins. The server was focused on one table and they were getting the top service while we were getting lowest customer service. They still expected 20% tip and the manager was no where to be found. Not to mention music was super loud which made it even more frustrating to express our concerns. The last time we were there we were seated in the patio area and the experience was amazing.. I hope the manager reads this because we were waiting for our mom to come back from the restroom while waiting for our card to return and they started picking up the table and spilled water near us making us feel like we needed to leave right away... everything was just very uncomfortable.
At first the service wasn't good, the servers were slow the food took forever to get there the service was bad.. but then I asked for the manager and i expressed to him about our service and that it was unacceptable. He was very apologetic and he asked to fix it I almost left the restaurant and I decided to give a chance we got seated right away inside and they really made up for it. I really think this manager is amazing and does his job right he gave us great service and great servers. I'll be coming back again.
Had a wonderful experience here! Took my parents here as their first experience with Korean BBQ. Keep in mind, my parents are Spanish speakers and have a language barrier, which made them hesitant to the experience for years. Our waiter Joseph was so helpful and attentive. He was able to help us feel comfortable. He suggested some tasty options from the menu. Definitely glad we had him as our waiter. We are looking forward to coming back soon.
This place is always the greatest. But last night we had the best service and waiter by the name of Alex E. He didn't keep us waiting long, remembered every single thing we asked for, made suggestions on different meats and we enjoyed every single one of them. My whole family was just in awe of him. Greatest experience ever eating here in the many years of coming to Gen Cerritos. (It's always great though) just he topped all of them. Thank you for everything Alex. You're great. Even came to sing happy birthday to my cousin by himself Even though none of the other waiters joined. It's all good. He enjoyed it as well.
My wife and I were there for Dinner last night. The food was very good. Our waiter was very nice and professional. His name is Joseph. The only issue was the hostesses attitude when asked about how much longer it would be for our table after waiting the suggested time her response was I'll let you know when your table is ready. We had a party of nine people. Spent over $400.00 .
Food is pretty good, the price is fair and has a good variation of meats and marinades. However the service has not been great. Been here twice and was sat in the same section with the same host. They forget a lot of what you order, they aren't as available unless you flag them down, and they always seem to be running by. Not sure if the place is short staffed as I see a few of them just hanging out and chatting..
No reservation allowed. So a 30 minute wait became a 2 hour wait. We were a party of 8 with 2 children that wanted to sit together, there were people being seated ahead of us and the table they told us we were going to be seated on they gave it to someone else. Had to complain 3 times until they finally called the manager and they finally seated us on a table. After that the food and service was good.

I’ve been to other Gen Korean BBQ House’s in different locations, but this one here is my favorite. The service by our waiter (Tammy) was exceptional; everything was given to me without asking her (e.g., soda refills, the meats, and change of grills). Also, the food was delicious.Thank you for making my Sunday lunch so easy going!
