Flavorless and boring meats + broth, disturbing lack of variety at the "salad" bar.
Got there early like 6 ish 10 minute wait on a Thursday. Selection pretty good. When wait staff offer double order when you order meat. Take it. Paper thin slices and each order you'd get like two letter size total meat folded on a metal plate. Order double saves the staff extra trip to the kitchen. Just order everything. Soup wise I did not taste it ahead before I was done with dinner. But after dinner when the soup cool and I tried, super salty on tonkutsu. But the chilled meat and seafood and veggies were all tasty. Sauces were a bit limited and messy from customer use. Sat inside. Outside a bit too much walking thru the bar and the main path to the bathroom
UPDATE: 5/24/22So in this near post pandemic restaurants seem to have challenges hiring people to work.Broth Shabu Shabu seems to be a hustling and bustling place.But as with multiple other establishments, once popularity seems to rise, quality seems to take a dive. As is with, portions here at Broth. As customers, we are now down to 3 slices of paper thin meat for our broth, limited veggies, and the service was lackluster.That's not even the kicker though. SOMEONE AT BROTH NEEDS TO be a QA manager, because giving out crumbs when to pass as Chicken Karage is no Bueno. I was actually, embarrassed to receive it and i would be embarrassed to even let that out of my kitchen.After this incident, not sure if I'll be returning.PREVIOUS:Lots of meat, lots of veggies, lots of broth.Service was....fair. I'm starting to notice a trend with some places and the waiters attempting to memorize every single order for multiple tables in one section. I'm not saying it cannot be done, but it would be much easier to write it down and everything correctly the first time. That way, customers won't have to ask multiple times for, let's say, rice or beer.I like the fact that here at Broth, the broths are split. Being able to have a variety is always better. The all you can eat salad bar is a nice touch as well. The star of the show though, the meats. Ranging from a variety of seafood, swai fish and shrimp to thinly sliced beef. It's all you can eat. Unfortunately, there is no longer chicken on the menu.Inside, there are lots of space and seating between tables and booths. However the tables are a little cramped with the broth bowls, veggie bowls, meat, beer, appetizers and REGULAR eating bowls.I will return to Broth again. Hopefully the wait will be shorter and our next waiter/waitress will write down the items ordered.
Britney and Joy were super welcoming and the food is delicious! The vibe is on point and would definitely recommend. Five stars no doubt!
This place is great.It has alot of options on vegetables, Meats, but not enough on fish.What I so not like is the fact that the prongs get mixed up. So u have to be very careful if u have any food allergies.The sauces are good too.The variety of vegetables is very good too.That spicy broth they have is not at all spicy.They should Carry some kind of spicy something just for people like me.
4 ⭐️- definitely worth the moneyThey had a wide variety of meat and vegetable selection. Plus you also have some basic appetizers too. We all had the tonkasto broth but there were others to choose from.Make sure you use their online waitlist to avoid a long wait and of course, come hungry
They have such a large selection of veggies & seafood to add to your broth. Service was great the 2x I've been there. And the broth itself was SO good. I feel like the prices are fair too, but I've only gone during lunch time so I can't speak for their dinner stuff. I definitely recommended this place.
Wow! I loved it. Had a great experience. Loved the food. Got #1 for the meat selection with the original broth and dumped a bunch of vegetables and shrimp into the mix, dipping it into my ponzu and other sauces for a great tasting meal.
Yummy very interesting fast accurate good service
Excellent and extremely satisfying! Broths were good, meat was very good quality, seafood was okay, vegetable, noodle and sauce selection was varied. Server was very attentive and checked in regularly. Just solid overall and fun!
