Bruschetta was half price app special. Meatballs on Angel hair pasta w side salad. All very good!
Great dinner with friends who we celebrated his Bday with! Food options was plentiful and delish! The waitstaff was attentive and very friendly!
I’ve consistent had a good experience at Sammy’s. The owner, Scott, is a great guy. Like many places, staffing thru Covid is a challenge. But I’ve always gotten a good meal out of the kitchen. It’s slowly been upgrading over time, so the dining room is quite nice now
Pleasant Italian restaurant in a strip mall district of Cathedral City, close to the new Aqua Caliente casino Cathedral City. The menu options are diverse, the wine selection is good, and the dishes that we chose were very tasty. I had a gazpacho and the veal marsala and my partner had a mixed salad and also the veal masala. A friendly waitress rounded out a nice dinner event.
Small and intimate. Friendly polite professional staff. Italian fare. Great sausage and peppers with pasta.
This is a smaller scale Italian restaurant in a shopping center, and from what I’ve seen, they don’t advertise much. Don’t let the fact that it’s in the Big Lots shopping center throw you. Sammy’s Place was suggested to us by a friend, and it exceeded our expectations. I had angel hair pasta in a pesto sauce with chicken added. My other half had the lobster ravioli, and one of our friends had the lasagna. We all raved about our dishes. Our server Brian was very attentive. All in all a really nice meal out with friends.
Gnocchi was the best ever. Carbonara was delicious. The spinach salad was superb.
Sammy's was excellent totally enjoyed it food was the best Italian I run into in a long time
Food, service, atmosphere was all as good as we hoped for This is a reasonably priced high quality restaurant. It’s not to be missed. I had the Gnocchi and the ladies both had the Shrimp Scampi. Other gent had the Carbonara. Each of us were 100 % satisfied. Sammy dropped by and is larger than life but respectful of your space. Servers were all top notch. This is a great spot if you have a special occasion planned
Terrible experience. Took 2 hours to get in and out for a party of 4. Had to ask for refills multiple times. Dirty dishes left on the table. Server had an attitude when we told her one plate was luke warm and another was downright cold. Truly a shame because the food had good flavor... Just wasn't hot and the service was probably the worst I've had anywhere in 3+ years. Other tables were receiving meals before appetizers. Overheard a guest complain their pasta was cold as i was coming back from the bathroom. Too many other good Italian establishments to ever come back. If you're going to charge an average of $30 a plate you should be doing much better.
