last time I was there i ordered a classic opera cake. I received a white buttercream rum cake not an opera cake. Today I was going to order a cake for my mother in laws 92nd birthday. I asked her what the best cake that they make and was told all their cakes are good. Told her how disappointed in the opera cake i was and said that it is there way of doing it. A classical cake should be made in the classic manner. I wont go to them again. they only seem to know American style cakes and not European classics. The French corner café in Palm Desert knows what they are doing. If you haven't tried them go see and try what pastry and cakes should be.
Fabulous! Highly recommended. My son ordered a vegan birthday cake for me and, after years of not being able to eat cake due to food intolerances, I was delighted. This cake tasted exactly like CAKE! Thank you, thank you ?
Ordered 2 cakes for my sons’ birthdays in January and I could not be happier with how they turned out! The ladies at the bakery are very talented and what they do is not bake, they create art! The cakes were really tasty, my sons both loved them! It made their days that much more special! Great work! Placing the order was also a breeze, quote was given almost immediately and there were no issues at pick up! A very nice bakery!
My initial contact with the bakery was via email. I am planning a wedding from Iowa for my son and daughter-in-law that will be held in Indio, California. I provided the information and picture of the cake. I received a reply quickly via email stating to contact the cake decorators via phone call. I called the next day and spoke with Charity. She provided a quote went over the details of the size of cake, servings, etc.. She provided several options for flavors, fillings, frosting. Charity provided informative information, very courteous, jovial, great customer service. You could hear her expressions through her voice! Great job. She ended the call stating that I could call and update my order any time. Thank you Charity. About a week ago I called the bakery and spoke with Debra, to confirm my order because we are purchasing a cake stand for the cake. I wanted to confirm the height, width and update regarding fresh flowers. Ooops, I also changed the flavor from vanilla to Champagne. Debra was very kind, courteous and professional. Debra took the time to answer EVERY question I had. She informed me how many layers of cake, height, width and the cake will be on cardboard to be placed on the cake stand. She provided 2 nearby florist options that the bakery works with. I have since contacted the florist. So far, my experience is EXCEPTIONAL from a simple email to two phone conversations. Thank you for providing this service for our special day. I will provide an update after the wedding and post photos for viewers. This is not my first time at this bakery. And won’t be my last. We just had a housewarming party for our 98 year old cousin. The cake was delicious. The decorating so adorable.
They did an amazing job doing the cake we requested for my daughter's first birthday! Definitely would recommend, it did cost a pretty penny but it was worth every cent!
First of all, I called all over Palm Springs to have a cake made for my 60th! It was like pulling teeth to get a bakery just to call me back! I stumbled on Swan Pastries and they were so accommodating! Not to mention they have guava filling!!! They made the most beautiful cake!! It was definitely a show stopper and it was delicious as well. The color wasn’t exactly Tiffany blue but it was close enough. It was better than I could have imagined. I really loved the customer service they provided, their creativity, and the taste! If I EVER have something in or near Palm Springs I will definitely always use this awesome bakery!!!! You won’t be disappointed.
Pricey. Cheesecake was tasty but mushy. Maybe that's a California thing. Carrot cake was very sweet and perhaps a bit dry. Macrons were good. Lemon bars were great, brownie bar was pretty good.
Friendly staff and great customer service
Very disappointed. I asked for a cake with pictures with no trim except for the pic of birthday person. I got tacky partial trim on all pictures and a full trim on a completely different picture of birthday person. When asked why didn't she call me if there was issues, she replied "why, what would that have done?" When I asked if she could fix it, she brushed me a side to help customers of a different race, who just walked in, while I continued to wait. She then seemed upset that I asked her to fix my cake. Very unprofessional.
