Several coworkers recommended this place and I tried it for the first time this morning. I was so disappointed. Maybe I came in a bad day.... service was bad, food was not good. I ordered over medium eggs, they were runny and it just ruined my whole meal. Unfortunately I never got a check back from my server. So I barely touched my food. Will not be back.
Stopped for breakfast this morning. A very clean, homelike cafe with a lovely outdoor patio. Servers are all very friendly and attentive. Everyone seems to work together well. My husband had the biscuits and gravy. Surprisingly had bacon on them as well! Tender and flaky biscuits and flavorful gravy. Huge serving! I had country fried steak which was very good. We always ask for crispy hash browns with onion and they were very nicely crispy - just perfect! We both took half of our meals with us! I would recommend this cafe to anyone. Too bad we are only in the area another week. Wish we had discovered it sooner!
What a great spot. The locals seem to love it. During the process of selling a home, my wife and I stopped in three times. It's like family there and you stepped in for a visit. You feel like you belong. The food is very good too. We will return.
Everyone was so friendly, grateful and fun! The food had a down-home flavor with the restaurant being a hometown feel! A must try! Tim was funny all waitresses had a sense of humor with love ?
Great breakfast spot and great burgers for lunch. The pancakes are huge and light and fluffy. Greek bacon! Coffee was just a little weak but acceptable. Love going here and the staff it’s incredibly friendly and helpful.
Don & Sweet Sue's cage was a very unique restaurant. Family style sit down dinning. My wife and myself both had breakfast at around 2pm. The food was excellent. Everything was fresh even the bacon. The waitresses were excellent and friendly. Will go again.
One of my favorite places! You can't beat the food and the hospitality. If it's your first time plan on a little time to view the extensive menu. Have never been disappointed.
First visit here. Ordered a breakfast offering at lunch time that was outstanding. I'll go back and try some lunch items. It was crowded but the staff managed it well.
Biscuits and gravy with bacon and eggs, really good really filling, I would definitely go back and order same thing all over again. Service was great and quick, not to packed, party of four were in and out quick. Definitely a must go if you are in the area.
This was by far the worst dining experience I have had at Don & Sweet Sue's. I have been coming here for 20 years!I ordered a medium rare hamburger with mushrooms. It was barely browned on either side. More like raw. No one ever came back to my table to ask how my meal was, until I was almost done. The coffee was disgusting. I put 10 packets of sugar in it, and still couldn't get it down. Mentioned it to the wait staff, and they brought another cup from the same pot. Most likely will never return.
