Such fantastic food. The staff is very warm and fun. Even when there's a little bit of a line, it never feels like it takes too long for your sandwich to be made.
It took a little getting used to the new ownership. We have been enjoying The Cheese Steak Shop for over 30 years now.The service in CV is great. They also cook up a great BBQ Philly.Don't forget to tip generously!!!
First time customer, the Philly cheese steak was so delicious. There was no wait! and my food was ready very quickly. This was the best Philly cheesesteak I’ve ever had. I will be back. Yum Yum
I had called in my order the lady who took my order was very well spoken she repeated my order so they would get it correct. It was ready when I got there I recognized the lady's voice and ask her for the manger she told me she was the manager on duty. She asked me if there was something wrong with the order.I told I just wanted to let her boss know how pleasant she was talking to something about her voice . She said thank you and asked me if there was anything else she could do for me . I stop coming to this location because of the service but decided to give it another chance because I live so close. Joan made me change my mind about it so for the last 2 months I have been coming every week. Great employee. I only go in there when I know she is working.
Even in Philly, no two places make cheese steaks exactly the same. The point is, the cheese steaks here are delicious. Perfect. And you could transport any of these Cheese Steak Shop locations to Philly and they would fit right in and be accepted as the real deal because they are the real deal.
Dry meat, very bland. We ordered 4 steak sandwichs and none of us could see or taste the cheese. Awful. This is not the first time either..
I’ve been having these sandwiches for well over a decade and they have always been great. They never changed much I hope they keep it that way. I just miss the onion rings and the old decor.
First of all: the cheese steak was actually very good, also my children enjoyed it a lot and they know their cheese steak. I've been to Philadelphia, PA to try different cheese steak places - and here they are kind enough to have posters on the wall with the most famous cheese steak venues in Philadelphia with a bit of history behind them. It's a very nice touch. To me the best cheese steak in the bay area is Jersey Joe's in San Carlos, but it's far, and recently i don't think it's as good as it once was. So i was eager to discover another venue with a great cheese steak. This place is pretty convenient but it's small - OK not a big deal. They do not serve beer - which is very annoying. However, the cheese steak is very good. So why the three stars? They only open at 11AM, which is a bit late to start working, isn't it? I in fact had to wait at a park nearby. However, and this is the big deal, i had to wait, without warning it would take so long, for 55 minutes !!!! In order to get my order. This is fast food, I was there with three children and we just ordered two regular cheese steaks, nothing out of the ordinary. There were at least two staffers behind the counter, three at some point. It seems to me one person was working one order at a time, instead of getting enough meat on the skillet for all the people in the shop at that point. It was REALLY painful to wait, because there was no information whatsoever how much it would take. Oh and ordering online doesn't help, I was talking to other people while waiting and they too had to wait almost an hour even if they placed the order online. It's absolutely incredible. To the owners of this venue:1) wake up early and open at 9AM!2) cook the orders at the same time on the skillet! Don't wait for ONE cheese steak to be ready before reading the next order (guess - another cheese steak) and start working on it!
Garlic fries cheese steak delicious
Food is good. Parking is a nightmare. You might be familiar with this chain. The food is basically the same across the board. This store specifically is on par with others like it. But parking is insane. I recommend parking over by the TJMaxx and walking over.
