This wine bar with food has a welcoming vibe and cozy cellar under the Castro Valley Marketplace. There's plenty of wooden back bar chairs at the counter or tables and chairs and banquette seating in the open space. The night I went had musicians playing in the corner as people chatted in their groups, perused the take-home wine and spirits section or enjoyed supper or a tasting. I've been here several times and always had good service and good wine and food.
Completely comfortable atmosphere and excellent wine selection are two reasons I love this place. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Cheese board is awesome! Great for a Sunday or any weekend!
Hidden gem for craft beer lovers in Castro Valley. They have DAILY happy hour from 3-4pm 50% off all draft beers which includes Pliny! That’s right - $4 Pliny you can’t beat it.They have a good selection of craft beer cans to go including moonraker, hen house, revision.I got the Mac and cheese which was tasty but a little over cooked. Overall would be back!

Very casual and friendly vibe, music set a nice tone. We had the heirloom tomato flatbread and the kale pesto flatbread, both were delicious. We were unfamiliar with any of the wines, but our server did a great job selecting wines for us, based on a moment's discussion of what we were looking for in a wine.The food here is pretty light: the flatbreads are more than a snack but less than dinner. They have one substantial dish, the braise, which looks pretty good; but my gf doesn't eat red meat, so that was out.
