The salad bar is not as good as the one in Bellflower, the dinning room is kind small and antiquated. I also felt that they didn't know the menu at this location you couldn't substitute the hibachi chicken for steak as I have for years at the other locations all over socal. I will never visit this location again. This location is just as bad as the one that was closed down on Long Beach Blvd and Del AMO in Long Beach CA.
I ordered the steak and shrimp skewer… IT SUCKED, everything was cold, the steak was extremely chewy, the shrimp was charred and dry, the rice pilaf was ok.I highly recommend this dish ?. This restaurant is on Avalon Blvd.
We ended up there on a Sunday morningWe wanted some good breakfast, they offered us the bar thing feature and it was awful they had fake scramble eggsCheerios more cereal, horrible cold and hard pancakes and a few more options that you really won't want to know. ??
Decided to try the new breakfast... Soo the food was so badly prepared it looked gross. The eggs where in a small container and the eggs where under yellow water... That's not very appetizing. The soups they had out was luke warm not sure it's even at a safe temperature to prevent bacteria. The biscuits seem to have been hardened by heat lamps like a rock lol... So we won't be going back. Hope you get better food than us. Or they make some changes and care a little bit more of what they are feeding people. Seems as if they don't care and just need to put the food there because it's their job.
Have a great time with my family. Friendly staff!
There is a good variety of food to choose from, including seafood and meat. I found the open salads to be something different than what I usually find in chain restaurants.Prices are reasonable for the amenities and attention that the restaurant provides.I want to go back soon and enjoy more combination ;)
I just moved back to the South Bay area. I noticed a lot of Sizzlers closed because of the Pandemic. I did a phone search for a restaurant I could take my soon-to-be 80-year-old father. I searched under soups and salads. In disbelief, I called to be sure it was open. Yes (smiling) to my surprise it was open.I tell you it was like it never closed. The food was fresh. I had the Salmon and my dad had the steak and chicken which was cooked every well. The service was good. The staff was very nice. I enjoyed the salad bar. Very clean inside.Prices like other restaurants have risen by still worth the cost to eat healthily.
Lunch with an old friend/ business partner was outstanding at Sizzlers. Waitress ( I forgot her name ) was on ? and really nice!!
Been coming here 40 plus years. It's safe so I go alone often when hubby is working. Food is always fresh. I don't get salad bar, it's looks just ok. Cheese toast always hot and fresh. Service great!
I've been to their new breakfast buffet four times now. It's something they started relatively recently, but they're improving. It's a relatively basic selection. You won't find poached or over-easy eggs here, just scrambled. Mini omelettes on the steam table, but none made to order like the omelette bar at the old Home Town Bufffet in Torrance. On one visit they handed out little survey cards on at the end of the meal, and I mentioned that the sausages were disappointing, being undercooked and cold. Next time in, the sausage was browned and perfectly crunchy, and everything on the steam table was covered to keep things warmer. They're definitely making an effort there, which I really appreciated!
