Great service and ambiance. I enjoyed the food too.
The food & service was good. However, after requesting the dinner tab, we waited 20 min, then left the table to pay at the reservation desk.
Birthday celebration
Nice setting, good service. Extremely expensive and limited menu. Food was marginal at best. It was definitely âa miss.â
The service here can be just great - Carly, Angela, and Chef Nelson made our dinners and breakfasts so enjoyable. Yes, the costs are high, since this is a resort, but I would argue that the ambience (outside with the pups, beautiful view of the valley, space heaters when necessary) and service and food quality justify it. Also, eating products from on site (goat cheese, lavender infusions, honey, Pinot Reserve) is amazing - terroir indeed! We loved the granola and think they should sell it in the Market. My only quibble is the classic rock playlist that seemed to be on loop through the week - if you are an Eagles/Fleetwood Mac/Tom Petty fan then you are in luck! (we are fortunately). Take It Easy!
We love everything about The Valley Kitchen! The food, staff & atmosphere are all incredible!
Wonderful dinner! Wait staff are great. Food is very special.
Having eaton at Valley Kitchen several months ago and having loved everything, especially the food, you might imagine how deeply disappointed we were with our recent dining experience on 7/22/22. The menu had changed drastically, none of the delicious food remained. The food we ordered was not nearly as tasty as previously. 2 of us had the halibut and it certainly did not live up to the4 exorbitant pricing. Our waiter overcharged us for the wine, and had to redo our bill. All in all, not an experience that fits in with the resort's reputation nor with the pricing.
They offer a limited selection of food and my meal (chicken) had different ingredients than described. And the green salsa not only looked like poison - it also tasted awful and should not be on the plate. But what really disappointed us was when we saw people at the table next to us had a delicious looking burger - but this was not on the menu. We asked the server about it - and he said these are guests of the hotel and it is from the in room dining menu. If this is the case they should serve it also in room and not at the restaurant where you only can select between expensive and not very creative dishes. The place is lovely . And like these days everywhere: service needs improvement and food is very expensive for what you get.
We were blown away. The food was delicious and service was great. Far exceeded our expectations and the most enjoyable meal weâve had in a long time!!
